  • @LOLNOOBCAKES That's gotta be the stupidest thing I've heard all day.

I'm sure they have a very strong passion, but you can't just rule out every other drumline like that.

  • Yea I just realized what stupid thing I said my bad

  • Id much rather watch a DCI line. this is a disgrace ...

  • @bassd06 so go watch a fuckin DCI video then. why click on it knowin you wont like it?

  • LoL @ the quads @ 2:37 - 2:53

  • i love how 1:20-1:28 transitioned to the next part of the show. it wayyyyyy to hard!!!

  • Awesome as always!

  • Very visual. Talented no doubt. But they really need to clean up their snares. Sounded like popcorn through most of this. Would make the performance really hit a home run if their precision was top notch.

    Still great stuff though.

  • REALLY????? Any DCI drumline could kill these guys!

  • ok, dci drumlines and entertainment drumlines like this have different styles. you can't really compare the two.

  • I agree. DCI is more focused on rudiments, fundamentals and tecniques. While the other drumlines are focused on visuals. I enjoy both !!!

  • that second cadence was hard as fuck... its simple as hell but shit still hard

  • Badazz....the quints almost fell off at the end.

  • THAT WAS AWESOME!!!

  • That was SWEET!!! 5 stars from me

  • i have give to them Black Fire Chops up those Cadences....But Lets see what Miller Grove's Black ice has in store at Jamboree 2008...Black Ice vs. Black Fire lol that's funny

  • i like 0:13 to 1:19 thss a hott beat i saw dat in the other video wen u guyz wee like in a park ya had on yellow and black

  • yo ya quint player iz amazing i wanna play like that everyone else iz awsome u guys kno hoow to rock the show BIG UPS to Black Fire Percussion

  • I was a part of C.R.E.A.M. Drum Corps in Atlanta GA ..(tonal bass)...i personally think black fire is pretty good....but think we play more techical stuff and black fire put on great shows.....but i give yall thumbs up though.

  • i agree with u at some points.....u might play more but you dont play it together it seems like da snare split it up into solos

  • A little sloppy, but entertaining none-the-less. Good show.

  • That was awesome... I love percussion solos.

  • ...wow...my god...that's great!!! unbelievable

  • Black Fire members please stop replying to people who don't like what they see...let them have their opinion. For every bad critic you can find 10 favorable ones so don't sweat it. People keep the comments coming its good Publicity.

  • hey tim i was just havin fun but i understand wat u mean...JCSU

  • agreed..

  • Black Fire members please stop replying to people who don't like what they see...let them have their opinion. For every bad critic you can find 10 favorable ones so don't sweat it. People keep the comments coming its good Publicity.

  • hey guys. great job! I really enjoyed watching. I was just told about your drumline tonight so I came to check it out.. I love the style and the energy. Keep it up!

  • aye whoever is blkfiresnare dont respond to the negative stuff u just let it go we all know we can play and just keep practicing dats it

  • lets cover up our bad inverted flam taps with stick visuals!!! i think these people are what we call "percussionuals". they're people who are attracted to percussion instruments. I mean cant u see them humping their drums?

  • hey idiot first off we are "SHOWSTYLE DRUMLINE" i don't think the crowd wants to see boring ass stand still playing..half off the crowd don't even know what a dam inverted flam tap is...u must not know about us..dammit we play our instructor comes from DCI he marched for the cadets in 2000....u must not know about us

  • who gives dude, half the crowd dosnt know real skill, if you watch a show from a real drum corps then most of them have a great storyline and its very entertaining, watch Phantom Regiment's 2008 show and see some skill, and they dont stand still... except for cadets, in phantom's show theres, death, friendship, betrayal, and a damn good show in my opinion,

  • You guys are way too talented to be copying the likes of NSU, HIU and who ever else you immulate. Get a quality percussion instructor, Get inventive and create at your own style. good luck

  • get our own stlye???do u even know who our instructors are??....Tim Greene(marched cadets in 2000) Harvey Thompson(marches and teaches at A&T) we have one of the best staff thats why we ALWAYS ON TOP....so do ur research before u say get a quality percussion instructor...i am highly offended

  • Your playing style is not original. That is my point. You guys are doing great. No disrespect to Harvey or Greene. I've know the steppers since they started coming out in the late 90's. In this particular routine I saw routines from Norfolk State and Hampton University. So I say, discover who you guys are and try to be unique. Don't be offended young bro, the world is full of critique. Bring something new to the table. Thats all.

  • so u sayin our style isnt unique dat wierd because i thought all of our stuff was written by tim greene maybe the dances moves but the music nope try again buddy and we always bring something new to the table no wonder we r 4x warren county champions learn something about the program then be a critic

  • i also do percs and i adore you guys! i wish one of you could teach some kids how to play and dance those drums here in the Philippines. you are so talented time to share it!

p.s. were you the guys in the movie - "drumline" ?

  • wow you guys are good.

  • Damn "G", that is Stylin'!!

  • Greetings from Hamburg Germany.

Thanks for this video and thanks for the good performance. Great stuff!!!

P.S. Can you please keep the rasisct discussion out of here.

Those are great young musicians. No matter what colour there skin might have or not.

    It does not matter!!

  • Who cares about what color or race these kids are? They are awesome!

  • It's so good to see people this age putting so much hard work into something so constructive and creative. So much better than the alternatives... Lots of kudos to all the members of this group! Keep up the outstanding work, you do your generation good ^.^

  • the black in black fire has nothin to do with the color of ur skin...i should know i played for black fire and at the begin of this video i am the fouth snare and the lightest person out of everybody so keep ur god damn racist comments to ur

  • and when & why did this turn into a black/white issue??? :-?

  • @atownstaydown it shouldn't be, it more as a style issue. I think most people think that as black/white issue is probably what schools of what band directors or percussion teachers are influence. Black Fire is very good, it takes both style which I must admit, I like DCI stuff too, but this unique on the part of hybrid styles

  • im sure if a white guy could keep up with them, they would be more than happy to have him on there

  • solo & blueeyed: exactly. i'm not understanding all the criticism coming from these DCI guys....these are high school kids doing something they enjoy in their free time. they're not professionals, nor are they DCI members, so why should we measure them against those standards??? Blackfire is one of the BEST "high school" drumlines around.

  • Wow it's great stuff. I don't care what div you're in or colour your skin, it's GREAT to see young people doing something worthwhile with their spare time. We are quick to critisize when youngsters do bad.Great work drummers keep it up. I'll be keeping my eyes open for any more deeds of dexterity.

  • your representing your corps very well hockyman. Im from a Div 1 drum corps too, and last time i checked you should be supporting groups like this, not putting them down.

  • If whites werent allowed into the group, wouldnt that be illegal? (correct me if im wrong) and anyway i think Blackfire is a cool name, and its not trying to describe their skincolor.

  • The dirty factor is what sells it for me: the dancing, the showmanship... these kids are having a lot more fun than most DCI players, I think, and it gives the beats authenticity like no other. Sweeet playing!

  • But clearly when it comes to technical proficiency and skill you would have to check out the Top Secret Drum Corp.

  • top secret is good but comparing them to these kids is like comparing the beatles to jay-z.

blackfire is far more entertaining in a modern setting

  • I can dig that! Point taken. They both have a lot to offer. Although using the comparrison between the Beatles and Jay-Z, I think really hurts. The Beatles played their own instruments, wrote classic melodies and lyrics that have stood the test of time over 40 years. Jay-Z is cool and all, and yes rap is a skill in and of itself, but it is not at the same level of playing an instrument and composing from start to finish. Many will argue, but any musician would agree.

    blackfire may agree

  • why in the hell would you dis them, they are freak'n rock'n and having a good time. If you want to do it, go do it, but don't piss on them to make yourself feel beter.

  • jealous, are we?

  • Im pretty sure these guys can march tenor. With solid skills, marchin at the same time is easy. Nuthin fake about thos tempos

  • lol @ fake tempos

  • I'm with Coltron0. I might have given your comment a little thought or consideration, but when some ignorant, dumbass 15 year old starts critiquing drumlines way out his league I instantly realize that you truly don't know anything about anything.

  • Comment removed

  • ok..good for u...but y r u degraging us u don't think we can play????

  • I was in this video Tyler and i marched 2007 BD snarelineand im on the 08 line also wise ass. don't degrade a youth organization.

  • cadets 2008...very nice but did dey win 2007?

  • Im a member of the West Genesse High School Marching band on the drumline and i have to say that is amazing.

  • Not to bash you or anything, but being on a high school drumline doesn't really give you any authority, being that a lot of people commenting are related to DCI and other professional percussion groups... I mean, there's a lot of ignorant assholes that know nothing about drums too, but I guess one comes with the other.

  • i know its been a while but my high school has one 29 of 34 state titles. trust me i know DCI, who do it nonstop and are yes professional, is extremely good. better then these guys. but for a group like these guys to just play like this is in my oppinion very good..

  • wow you guys are good.

  • my school has a cadence that kinda goes like that =]

  • wow they're good

  • OK thats freaking amazing! I hope someday i'll be able to do that!

  • you suckk..

stop thionking that your the shtttt..

get that thropugh your fucking head

  • i play quads in hi school but never had my quads fall off my harness lol

and u still waxed on ur solo

    nice job

  • i think it fell off when they were doing the "hanh?" poses

    lol

  • hah

first the one of the snares dropped their stick

then at the end if you look closely at the tenor player, his harness almost fell off.

    o_o

    there still good though

    lovin the visuals

  • center snare marches Blue Devils..

  • ur just saying that cuz hes black >_>

  • No, I'm saying it because it's not possible that someone has the time to do this AND march with the Blue Devils.

  • Well dude, I did march Blue Devils. and this video is 2 years old. 2nd, its two totally different styles. I started off showstyle and ventured out to drum corp. just lettin ya know a lil info.JERK lol

  • I did march blue devils and i did come from this drumline. Our drum instructor there is Tim Greene who was the (black) snare captain for 2000 cadets. he's the one who put me on to DCI

  • werd tha's tim !!

And NaMill marched and still march wit Bushwackers.

  • Ralphie is the shit..just another hater..congrats on the DCI championship..

  • what would you know about techniuqe? its a show, not a profession.

  • would black fire battle boss drummers

  • black fire would murder them

  • I love this ...a Little DCI feel...and Better than most...and some colleges I see on here...Big ups..AEA

  • South West Dekalb will BLOW they ASS just know that shawty

  • LOL. funniest thing I've heard all day.

  • i like the snare tricks too

  • Yall are really good. I come from north carolina and here you c alot of show lines but alot of them are dirty. The only good one i can think of at the moment is the boss drummers. I like show drumlines and am also a dci fan so you know for me clean snares and bass runs are everything. Yall snares are really clean, i like the diddles. keep up the good work

JR. HIT SQUAD- CRosslaND MArching CAVAliers

  • I must say that was incredibly good for a show band. I am more of a corps drummer myself...and have never seen any show band play clean and with good heights like you guys did. Very nice. And the video I have seen of CREAM on this site was bull shit...they didn't play clean at all...

    PEACE

  • lol..everybody thinks there drumline is the best..even after there first drum lesson..Jebus Christ..respect your elders biatches..

  • u betta chill wit dat cream crap

  • Black fire is pretty cool but i wuz on a 70 person drumline and it sounded way better. Black fire you shouldnt hold back you should play harder music. That was way too easy. Oh yeah creams are better just so you know. Black fire is pretty good but the music is again way to easy even if you are a show band.

  • best showdrumline i've heard.

  • well u must not have heard too many, but it was good.they're the second best show drumline ive ever heard.CREAM is first, then blackfire

  • wow..I'd really like to see some cream videos...all trash talking aside, you got me interested

  • in my opinion they was good, but they need some hybrids or something harder.instead of all dat dancin.but i liked the first part.i think ive heard that cadence or parts of it before, but they still did they thing.

  • That was pretty good. Unfortunately it seemed like the tenor player (quads) was the only one playing anything while the rest of the line hit on a couple of beats and danced around. I'd like to see more than rolls and sixteenth notes. But you guys were very clean which is hard to come by with showstyle bands because they tend to focus a lot of visuals.

  • Yeah, definately hot! I like all those visuals. I wish I lived near a drumline like that. The quads is KINDA out of tune though, but dude was hot. You got my props. Keep it up Blackfire.

  • Thanks to all musicians who appreciate what "BlackFire" brings to the floor. Keep the opinions coming. good or bad they help.

  • wat up mr insturctor thanx for teachin me all dat that i know its bringing me places

  • Tyrone !! whats good yea i was just looking at your band for the 20,00 time yea it never gets old ,this messeg is from one of sergio's percussionist you probably heard of me or not either way my name is Harry x tenor drum player now i play the b drum on the bass line

  • i'm telling you, if ya'll had more people in this line, they couldn't be touched. imagine seven or eight snares sounding like this.

  • damn y all hate blackfire will do it to anyonewho wants it

  • dat was crazy

  • wow dude kept playin even when his quads fell half way off his carrier lol nice...

  • Blackfire percussion is by far THE cleanest showstlye line I have seen since forever, they cleaner than some college lines out there. With the exception of some coprs line they aint got no competitions out there. Cleansliness rules all not groove and they got both. Oh yea get at me if you in da chi and want to battle on snare or quads!

  • THEY DID THEY THING YA HEARD ME

    L-TOWN WAS DA BEST

  • i get one of the girl tenor drummers to get in dat ass and im dead serious them girls is nice they be choppin

  • oh yea thug, we play rudiments...our warm ups will crush yall shit. f*ck all dat flippin da sticks, dat sh*t dont impress me. I wanna see somebody PLAY da drum. Not dance and make love to it.

  • get the fuck outta im in the line on snare and i seriously doubt yall clean our ass we one of the best lines out there and we been prove it

  • No disrespect..but my section would clean they a**..fa real

  • I don't even know who your section is (high school, I'm assuming), but I seriously doubt that.

  • yeah you right, ain't nobody to top blackfire.

  • it would be rally really really kooler with 1 more tenor

  • Homeboi in the middle on point and supa krunk. i LIKE IT THO

  • al least their is one good show style drum line out their. the first one i have ever seen that can actually play

  • man, that last bass is tall! seriously, if ya'll had some more snares and quints, this would be the perfect high school drumline.

  • Mate i got to hand it to ya. You guys a got it going ON!!!!!!!

  • Thats the same stuff they did when we battled them..There too good.
