The automatic versions fire at over 700 rounds a minute. Means the clip(20-30 rounds) would be empty in less then four(4) seconds. It´s actually pretty simple to remember tho, the A2 and A4 are the standart issue in the US Army, they are Burst, i don´t know what the fuck the A3 is for, but i know some are exported or used as the C7 of the Canadians. The M16 was the first one, it was full auto, the next one was burst because the GIs wasted a shitload of lead into the jungle...

Uhh thats an M-16 in automatic mode, they have 2 settings, single round semi and automatic.

That is an M4 in Semi, probably a civilian version...in full auto it goes 750-800 rounds a minute...that is way less there!

Also M16 used to have a 3round Burst too because US GIs wasted a shitload of Rounds in Vietnam.

Also there is always a third setting, called Safe.

Start getting your facts straight before you pretend to know what you are talking about.
