  • You do have a really gorgeous voice, I think you hit the tops notes beautifully, I did this song for a singing exam, and I still couldn't hit them notes properly, so well done!! xxx

  • your voice is great! but its just not for thyis song try a little lower tune song and remember dont rush!but your voice is great.

  • i thought this was a karaoke!

  • You people get a life. Way too picky. Let her sing the song she loves. It was lovely. Who elected all of you to be queen.

  • i think you coud practice but kitty is right people dont know what their talking about and just like being freaks online who probably cant sing theirself... good job!

  • karaoke is fast...slw its tempo...u cn perfrctly sing it

  • I'm not going to be a totally rude person, but your voice sometimes gets a little harsh, but at other parts it's lovely and soaring. Find the lovely part and stick with it! By the way, perfect pitch.

  • wooow ur voice sounds just like my amazing music teacher at my school!

    Are you Mrs Leigh?

    xx

  • that was so beautiful amazing job

  • it's very beautiful, but your (american?) accent shows right through. it needs to be more soft on the a's (like in mattered and shattered) all in all, quite nice :)

  • You're AMAZING

I have a question: Where did you find the instrumental? Is an amazing instrumental...I would for the assay of singing! Please help me

  • you got it girl keep singing ^^

  • You did good.

  • I'm just very impressed that you hit all the notes clear. There are things you could probably improve on (that other people have already mentioned) but I would mainly encourage you to KEEP SINGING. You've got the talent!

  • NIce... but your voice is a little breathy. Watch the timing... you off for quite a portion of it. It seems you are pushing for the high notes. Remember to breathe from the diapharm and smooth out your vowel. You have a pleasant voice none the less but I would keep to the medium ranged songs. : D

  • i love your voice but you didnt feel the song how its supposed to sound and feel.

  • I agree u need to act the feeling in your voice, it seemed rushed

  • Very beautiful

  • i love ur voice u would do great with a lower song -is wondering how she would sound with all i ask of you (my fave song for the phantom of the opera)-

  • have a lovely voice... but you didn't feel the song, did you?! wasn't as convincing as it could (should) be... you made this song being a brisker one instead of singing in a quiet running. Would wish to hear a truly sad version of this threnody ;)

but you've got a good taste: it's my fav. song as well =)

  • Song=Soprano

    You=Mezzo

You have a beautiful voice. It just isn't made for this song.

  • youre a tad off the music

  • oh wow... That's really good. Admittedly you're a breathy in some parts, but mostly good. If you want to, you could probably could go professional. I think so, at least.

  • one word...WOW!

  • Oh and i don't agree at all with gabysichigo no you sound great and you could sound evern better on a lower song

  • I live it soft and pretty i like it. I think you would sound really good in a lower song as well. hope that is not harsh it wasn't ment to be at all!

  • "Horrible", "lowest quality"... well, maybe your skills in giving con-crit need a brush up too, but never mind that. Thank you for commenting, I agree that I'm probably more suited for tunes in the lower register. That being said I do enjoy the highs and the musicals so I guess me and the people who like it will enjoy and the rest will have to suffer some. ;-)

  • i think thats very harsh your a litle fast in parts but other than that very good strong vioce and very clear dont listen to idiots like gabysichigo they dont know what theyre talking about :)

  • *hugs* Thanks hon. I've had people with perfect pitch telling me I should pursue the music thing so I'm taking this kind of abuse with a grain of salt. My performance isn't really all it could or should be though so one must make allowances. ^^

  • still if this is you at a resonable level i'd love to hear you on a good day!

    ps.*returns hugg!*

  • Um...constructive criticism, gabysichigo?

    That was just plain bitchy.

Sorry, but "studying music for quite a while" doesn't give you the authority to tell someone they are "horrible" and the "lowest quality."

While you were right about her voice being pop-ish, honestly you were just being rude.

(I know this was a while ago, but I felt like I needed to respond to this comment.)

  • construtive? bitchy you mean ¬¬ oh well you`re alone to think that.

  • you have an excelent voice, but you are rushing the song.

  • Thanks, ^^ and I know; this instrumental version is slightly more fast paced than the Emmy Russum one and I have a hard time matching it in song without either going too fast or too slow in comparison.

  • Wow your really good

  • Thanks. ^^

  • absolutely beautiful :)

  • Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed. :-)

  • wow you should audition for phantom you would make it for sure you have an amazing voice...when the song started i thought it was the actual singer

  • Wow, that's such a sweet thing to say. Thank you!

  • THANK you. :-)

  • with this song you have got a tear in your voice!

    That is so fantastic!

    It sounds absolutely grand!

    Greats, Richard.

  • What a lovely comment, thank you very much. :-)

  • wooaaa ! Ö

    that's beautifull :D

  • Thank you. ^o^

  • Beautiful!!! I really like your voice!

  • Thank you. :-)

  • beautifull !

  • Thank you, glad you enjoyed.

  • You have really powerful high notes, but you might wanna practice a bit more on the minor parts. It was very lovely :)

  • Thank you! :-)

  • Wow it's amazing :) Wonderful voice. Well well done. It's also my favorite song in the musical. I hope you share more with us. I would like it, I know.

  • Thank you very much. I've been trying to make some good recordings, but it's hard. Also I want to buy more karaoke backings, but iTunes and the like have those license things that keeps you from using the music in other programs unless you burn it to CD first. Bunch of greedy misfits... *grumbles*

  • i think that your mic could just be off, cuz sometimes if i try to record myself singing it goes of from the music, but its not like i wasnt singing it on time! so im sure thats all it is for you to :)!

  • It's very kind of you to think so. :-)

  • I love this song, your voice is superb, I turned the screen off and just listened to your voice and you've brought me to tears...

  • Wow, I don't know what to say. Thank you for sharing that with me.

  • absolutely beautiful.

i am not going to comment on the timing like everyone else because it was obvious;y not your fault, but i must say the audio quality is wonderful - you used a cheap mik and free software?

  • Thanks, and yup I did. Cheapest microphone I could find, my laptop and Audacity.

  • amazing i couldnt tell it was a different person

  • High praise. :-) Thank you.

  • wow, an amazing voice but a little off (compaired to the music)

  • Thanks you very much, and you're right about the timing of course.

  • it's great, but is a little faster than the music

  • So they tell me. :-) Thank you for commenting.

  • What did you use to record your voice?

  • Very simple equipment; the cheapest mic I could find, a computer, and the free software Audacity.

  • very good voice = D the timing was off, yes...but it worked. good job = )

  • Thank you!

    Oh, and happy new year!

    :-)

  • VERY GOOD!

    a little fast, but wonderful.

    ^__^

    JG

  • Thank you! :-)

  • Hi!

    I'm a Hungarian girl.

I have a performance on next Wednesday, and I will sing this song, so I want to see again the version with Sarah Brightman. I found there your video and I think that I would see it.

Now I have seen your video. You have great voice for singing, but you have to know your voice very much. The two most important things what I recognise in it, the tempo and the air in it.

If you can keep the rythm, it will be better. MUCH BETTER! Believe me!

  • Hi,

I really do have a problem with rhythm, I know. Just can't seem to get this one working properly. Will have to practice more.

Thanks so much for your comment and good luck with your performance!

    Love,

    Tessa

  • I like your voice. Sometimes I want to record myself and put it up to see what other's think .. . but I'm not brave enough. Heh.

  • Thank you, and take the leap. Worse come to worst you don't get any comments, that happens.

  • I'll try to do better, maybe next week I'll re-record and see how it goes. Thanks.

  • ur good. like 95% percent as good as emmy rossum...2 me anyway

  • Aww, thank you. *cyber hugs and cuddles your way*

  • it's not the best i've heard, no offense, of course, but it is still pretty. good job.

  • God no, I'm nowhere near as good as I want to be. Thanks for the feedback.

  • you have a nice voice. i myself sing all the songs from this movie :D

but you sing it too fast... in opera they sing everything really slowly.

if you try you'll discover that it's even easier this way ^^

    keep it up :D

  • Oh, I'm sorry this comment was for me, wasn't it? It stands as a reply to another poster so I wasn't notified. I recognize that the timing is off somewhat, but I thought I was a bit too slow at times, not fast. I need to get a hold of a recording that I can play at home. Mine got lost in a computer crash. Thanks for the tip. :-)

  • Goodjob, didn't believe it at first..not in any offend, just because it was such a beautiful voice, just like in the movie..:-)) wow

    -Ania Ski

  • Thank you! :-)

  • wow i think it takes a lot of talent to sing this song and you did it very well!!!

  • Thank you very much. :-)

  • you have a brilliant voice, I hope someone in the music buisness notices you :)

  • Thank you, and amen. :-)

  • wow! you have such a pretty voice! good job! it almost sounds like a cd. ^_^

  • Aww... *blush* Thank you.

  • very nice...

  • Thank you. :-)

  • awesome :D

  • Thanks. ^^

  • great voice i love this song

  • Thanks, :-) and yeah -it is a great song.

  • Cool! Very pop, but cool though ^^

  • *grins* Thank you.

  • nice lol!! nice voice

  • Thanks. :-)

  • not bad. in opera don't forget to NOT pronounce the r's at the end of words like father it would be Fatha. great job though!

  • Thank you. ^^ The importance of articulation has been beaten into me by too many teachers I think, hadn't thought about that.

  • oh my god, your voice is heaven!

  • Thank you. ^^ Glad you liked.

  • you have a nice gentleness to your voice, if you develop your voice more it will have a bit more richness to make it more believable. but great job!!

  • Thank you. This is a really difficult song to do when you've never tried opera. I really wish I had some coaching... Oh well, practice, practice, practice. ^-^

  • You're really good. It is a different to what i would have exected but you are really talented :D

  • *cuddles* Thank you, I think I'm probably more about feeling than technique, but it's nice to stretch and try something outside my usual genres. Even if it ends up being, different. ^o^

  • lol different is good :)atleast you aren't a clone

  • Heaven forbid. ;-)

  • =)

  • No problem, you're still really good though =)

  • *smiles and hugs* Thank you.

  • Not enough opera/broadway, it sounds like you're really trying to sing a pop song

  • *sighs forlornly* Yeah, I have that problem. Teachers always want me to do gospels and the like, haven't had classical training since early high school. Thanks for telling me what you thought.
