  • Where did you study?

  • Well done. And your piano has a lovely voice. If you've never heard the version by The 5 Browns check your library for a recording. They add some subtle flourishes that adds a certain character without ruining the piece. It's beautifully done.

  • My favourite version on youtube of my favourite ever piece

  • I love this song! Beautiful. . . You played it perfectly. I hope I'll be able to play it one day! :D

  • Bravo...Bravo!!! Truly beautiful...

  • good job

  • Great job with this, that was wonderful. I'm grateful for youtube, because the pianists on here always inspire me to practice more

  • Yes, very, very nice playing! This is such a lovely piece, and you certainly have done it justice.

  • Great job - I had to comment because someone said "this was in twilight."

Because this piece was written by Debussy...not for some movie to provide for the enjoyment of people that dye their hair black and suddenly love vampires. Debussy is rolling in his grave.

    Again, amazing job.

  • LOL! I agree!

  • magnifico

  • ahhh! this was in twilight good job!!!

  • Nice

  • I cried a little bit. You can feel the emotion flowing through each note.

  • Beautiful, you can really feel the passion in your music

  • @ThoughtGazeCarlos

Thanks Carlos! Glad you enjoyed it.

  • great interpretation! Thank you!

  • Great Job! I have been taking piano for 3 years and i am about 1/2 way to playing this song. I would like to see more of your playing.

  • one of my all time faves!

  • Very beautiful and clear. I actually stumbled upon this while searching on Schulze Pollmann pianos -- very glad about that. Thank you very much. By the way, what brand are you playing? Thanks again.

  • @Finalfantasypianos14

Happy you enjoyed it. My piano's a Baldwin.

  • I thought it was an amazingly beautiful and charming...

  • @OldRabit

    Thank you!

  • dang lori, got mad skills, very inspiring, someday i hope to be able to play like that, im in my first class of piano this quarter in college.

  • @deepvibez

Best of luck with your piano class!

  • I can clearly see a signature in the pauses and tonailty. And you love the music, that's for certain, no one could play anything written by Debussy so well, if they did not possess at least as much feeling as you showed in playing this song. Debussy wrote down something that was beautiful and pure that lives inside the heart when he wrote this song down ever so many years ago, and you captured it for a moment.

    A lovely, perfect moment.

    Bravissima.

  • @hikarulover

Yes, I adore this piece and I can see that you do too!

    Thanks for listening.

  • I guess I'm going to be the one to break the chain of paragraph long comments :) This was so beautiful, I was hanging on every note, every pause. Great job. I feel your emotion :)

  • I just fixed my volume settings and listened to it again. It's as close to perfection as one could hope to achieve. It's one of my favorite pieces and you play it so well. I'm jealous I can't play nearly as well. Just out of curiosity, what is your musical background and how long did it take you to master this particular piece?

  • @PatrickC41963

Patrick, this is one of my favorite piano pieces as well. I studied at Eastman School of Music and Hartt School. I studied with Vincenzo Vitale in Rome, Italy. I got the notes down in a month but it takes a couple months to live with a piece and to really understand what the composer is trying to say. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • Personally I would say you did an excellent job. It sounded beautiful and you sure can play that piano. I concur with patrickC4 when he said it does not need any personal touch. Clair de lune is a masterpeice and needs no room for improvement. It is immaculate and paradisiac and you did a wonderful job presenting this stunning piece of music

  • @MikeHuntyo

Mike, I feel the same way you do about this piece. It is so pure an beautiful in and of itself and I was careful to keep my musical personality out of it. Thanks for listening.

  • That was fantastic! I'd have to disagree with shark93fin though regarding adding your own touch to it. I believe that Clair de Lune if one of those rare classic pieces that simply cannot be improved upon. Why mess with perfection? My only regret is that the volume was too low even with my speakers at the highest level. All in all, very impressive. Bravo!

  • Its not that she would be improving it, Absolutely not haha. She would simply give it a personal touch so that she can relate to the played song. But i do understand the point you were trying to make though.

  • Excellent Job! Beautifully played :) Would be a little better if you added more of your own touch too it however. But still Very amazing :) Dubussy was one of the few musicians of his time who could really appreciate the art of piano playing, and you've done a great job keeping it going!

  • @shark93fin

    Happy you enjoyed it!
