  • @speednick88 your a dumbass..you should do some research but HORSEPOWER from the factory is measured at the CRANK from the crank to the drivetrain you have horsepower loss thats why when you take a car to the dyno straight from the show room and the dyno reads 380 horse power but the factory says 420 you feel like you got cheated cuz your stupid and dont understand how the factory rates the car...

  • Wow thats pretty quick, I ride a Yamaha R6 and have managed a best of i believe 11.6, and lemme tell you, IT FEELS FAST ON A BIKE and my bike is only like 400lbs lol this is a big car almost stock...Pretty impressive motor i gotta say, i've also herd nothing but impressive/interesting things about this motor.

    Id love to have one of these and throw some slicks on it an tear it up at the strip from time to time :)

  • actually ford did produce a 400+ hp motor in 64, ever heard of a 427 sohc? 616 hp@ 7000 rpm, and the 427 side oiler 425 hp so do your research before you start talkin

  • This video never gets old, I've watched it about 15 times and I must say I'm excited for november 2011 when my kona blue 5.0 GT with 6 speed the brembo brake package and 3:55 gears is mine. Needless to say I WILL be a good customer of Evolutions. Can't Wait!

  • On the positive Ford made a really nice car I give them alot of praise and I was never a ford guy but I'll have a 2011 GT before years end. I'll be contcting Evolution as well love the work they've been doing with those cars.

  • Stock 5.0's are puttin out way more than advertised, look at the chassis dyno #'s..390 @ the wheels..and Ford says 412 @ the crank..Hmm..Can't wait to see what the Boss 302 does on the dyno..

    I do love this mustang, though. i think the new camaro is badass, but way too heavy.

    I think I'll save my $ and buy a barely used Z06 for a few grand more, though.

    The Keyword in your statement is 'Turbo'. This is a N/A V8 Motor. There is No replacement for displacement. If I took the same amount on Money you put in your V6 and put it into the V8... Well, You see where this is going.

    Because GMC can't build a motor for shit It also depends on how a motor is built and how much care is taken to make sure the compression is right. GMC has a bad tendency of just throwing a bunch of parts into a pile and calling it a motor.  Ford spent a lot of time perfecting the tune for this motor and making sure the parts top of the line.

  • @OrenjiMasamoto not entirely true. ill use this as an example. you take a 2jzgte from a supra and put 10k in it, then take a 5.0L and put 10k in it, the supra is going to put out more power, i guarantee it. i seriously doubt you can get these 5.0L into the 1000+whp with 10k like u can with a 2jzgte... while also being reliable.

  • its fast, but they are breaking down already lol. went to test drive one and couldnt cause the only one the dealer had had a fucked up clutch. plus I work at st clair engine rebuilding, and have had more fords then anything, ever, by far. not to mention, have you read up on what has been happening with ford? It is not just where I live, (MI) it is allover. I actually witnessed a brand new f150's motor blow 200 yards away from the dealser.say camaro and challenger were slower,they still work lol.

    And don't say, "it's only stock!". ANYTIME power is increased, whether aftermarket or at the factory, requires modifying from an original design. It doesn't matter who built it. And, no replacement for displacement. Chevy's 6.2L in the long run could dust the 5.0L. Chevy is only keeping it at a minimum on production vehicles.

People comparing 5.0 to 6.2 man these two engines couldn't get more different, but when two are of the same design bigger always wins. The LS3 and LS7 are the same basic design and the LS3 will never hang with the LS7 mod for mod. Same with Honda B18 and K20, stock or build both and you know what's going to happen.

  • I call a bluff. This Mustang isn't factory. The exhaust is way to loud and has obviously been replaced with something better. I've heard the new 5.0s run and they are very quiet compared to this.

  • @99jiujitsu With a motor that dynos at those #s, exhaust work can make a big difference. We're not dealing w/ a 100hp 4cyl that gets 5hp from a catback. One way or another, buying this right off the showroom floor, it is very quiet. For this thing to be as loud as it is, means exhaust work has been done. NOT stock.

Go to the track I see them running 113 stock, thrs cars running 11.00 at 112mph.The car isnt running a turbo system, its not going to gain much with a exhaust system on just motor.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 5.0 dynos at 435, but where's proof? Where's proof that it can run 11 flat? Going by that logic, my stock Nissan should be able to run 13 flat on slicks.

The fact is an average driver and a near stock 5.0 is mid to low 13s, the same for a 2010/11 SS is low 13s high 12s.

  • @intangibledc As far as Pontiac is concerned, their G8 GT was suppose to help them make a comeback. That car had serious potential but t wasn't enough to help the company. Oldsmobile didn't seem to sell as well in todays times. Their older models did VERY well during the 80s and the beginning of the 90s but thet didn't step their game up, unfortunately. I think Buick is still around and out of all companies, that one should've BEEN left!

  • This is actually extremely impressive. The amount of power this thing has stock is just ridiculous. The one in this video probably could have ran a lot faster if they had a little stickier tire on there. He had enough horse to squeal the tires on every gear change. Faster than the 370Z Camaro SS and the Srt8's. Exciting to see where these 30 grand sports cars are headed.
