@MinnieMouse1975 His vocals in the studio may be a bit smoother than when he sings live, but I still think he does a great job live. Dave always sings with a lot of passion and emotion. Such a rich and powerful voice!

@bauhaus77 yup I also love his voice, maybe I was just slightly unlucky to see them towards the end of the world tour - his vocal cords must've been tired out. But it was still brilliant. Some artists are better live, some better in the studio. I used to love Pet Shop Boys until hearing Neil Tennant singing live.... just awful. Anyway, love DM, love this song!

@MinnieMouse1975 You are right....some artists are better in the studio. Dave's voice perhaps has suffered slightly as the years have passed, but he's still good in my opinion. I saw him years ago in concert, and he was spot on. Neil Tennant isn't very good live, huh? PSB are a good band...disappointing that Neil isn't a better live vocalist though. Can't be as bad as Anthony Kieidis though!

Yep, this was the concert version that had me in tears up in the stands. Not only has it been an incredibly meaningful song for me for 20 years now, but the water visuals were so simple and moving, and fit the feel of the song so well. I didn't even care that the vocals weren't that tight. Incredible song, incredible show.
