This was THE ULTIMATE. It totally destroys the horrible variation they have now. Watching the present one you would think it was still the 30's.

Yeah this one is the perfect one, the test one last season was too old, the 20/20 and odi was just a remix of the old one. Except it sounded bad.

The worst one is the intro they use for the T20 which sounds like a record scratching throughout the whole tune.

Apart from having to pay $6 for a beer & being ejected from the ground by security for abusing players (cheering on Australia & sledging the opposition) no wonder they can't pull a plague of locusts to a game to watch, let alone cricket fans.

Don't quote me on it, but I think it's from the same Ashes test in 1993 as THAT ball from Warne. 2nd Innings, Gatting again the batsman, and he expected Merv to give him another tradmark Merv bumper and sledge. Instead he got the little leg cutter which clattered into the stumps.

Wrong, MHJanson is right, infact channel 9 played the "the last ball of the day, can you believe that" audio on several of its cricket intro's from the mid to late 90s.
