I COMPLETELY understand how you feel. It's always difficult to understand how some parents think it's alright to say things like that. I know my mom justified it b y saying that if she said things honestly to me that maybe if I felt bad enough about my self image I would try losing way....Freakin-AAAAA!! Come on! What type of F-UP parent would think that. Now I just listen to her....she refuses to be buy me clothes though...Until I lose weight....LOFL oh well that's why I work ^_^
Megan, congrats on the Cd.. its awesome.. ow you need to move up and on.. let that stuff about your mom go and forgive her.. ..the truth of the matter is that stage life is ruled by skinny people so the worst part of that battle is to come.. its time to be more introspective about how to face it rather than deflect.. which is what you've been doing
I sooo know about parents having diarrhea mouth where they don't think before they say. I am the oldest of three girls and I am the only one who is plus size. My two sisters are are a size 8 or below. My dad thought it was a good idea to compare me to my sisters inorder for him to get me to stop eating. He asked me "Don't you want to be like your sisters and have a boyfriend, if you do you need to stop eating". Never told any one until now.
I wanna give you a great big hug! When I was about ten I started to get really bad acne, coupled with the fact that I was a total nerd, I was ostracized pretty quick. Thankfully I found people to hang out with and my reading made for excellent comebacks!
i wish i looked good in the morning!&i kno wat u mean by the mom thing. wen i wud be upset she wud do the tough love thing.&that actually kinda let to my, eating disorder/addiction to food.i wud eat wenevr i was upset becus i cudnt talk to my mom.i wud get teased all day&then come home eat my emotions.iv given myself the pregnant comment.wen i look at myself in the mirror i just stare & think "wow i look pregnant". i touch my stretch marks&just breakdown.sry this is long. it was longer lol lov u
my son is bigger and he says people call him and me fat at school and I immediatly say to him how does that make you feel lol so dr phil i know but i say to him mommy is fat and it's ok not everyone looks the same but GOD loves us anyway and I LOVE YOU and who you are and what you look like is the best You you can be and if it really bothers him that he should tell his teacher at school and that he can be ok with what he looks like
U r beatufl inside and out, I love american accents and aussie accents as a northern english man, i tell u what though i love fat bottom girl by queen and it is show true, i love big women just that they don't love me back.
You are so so incredibly strong and beautiful. ProjectLifeSize is one of the only things that keeps me positive. I agree 100%with chelliexcon about the glow. :) It's still with you. It's crazy that one can still see it even though you are on a video on YouTube. This was the most amazing idea, Meghan.
This glow your friend says you have lasts all day, honey! Obviously, I don't know you, but the fact that you started ProjectLifeSize shows that you're someone with a big heart. Kids in Jr. High and High school are cruel. I know I was not a dream peer in high school and I wish I could change a lot of things. I believe it's true that people are cruel out of insecurity.Anyway,I just wanted to let you know I appreciate you AND ProjectLifeSize. It always make me feel better.
Meghan, you are so amazing and I love you so incredibly much. Whenever you want another compliment, you just come to me, and I will totally beat those compliments into the ground. :D
And you can share my mommy, if you want. She's very loving and could totally use another daughter or 6.
Meghan, you have a certain glow about you anyway. You really have immense beauty and your personality is just amazing. But your mother wasnt helping with that comment. However, you will one day make a brilliant mother your kids will love you. Keep your chin up babe you are going to be fine. :) xxx
I think the best compliments I have ever gotten all had to do with my face. People say I have a pretty face.
Insults: There have been many. I have one from 6th grade, but I'll mention one I got after 7th. It was summer, and there was this kid named Andrew. Andrew was a lanky guy. I didn't like Andrew, but people were saying he had a crush on me. Skip to one day when a guy friend (I use this word loosely) said that if I gave Andrew a lap dance I'd break his legs. Yup.
I think the "nobody looks that good in the morning" thing was meant to imply that it was a post-sex glow. Or am I projecting? I mean, you did say something about them thinking you were a couple...
The compliments were so cute. And I can only imagine what that felt like, hearing that from your mom. I had a similar incident, as said in my last video, where a girl in 2nd grade told me if I jiggled, then I was fat. What a bitch! I was totally vulnerable when anybody brought up weight after that.
i can't choose the biggest compliment that i've recieved... gotta think it through more haha.
but i'll say the biggest insult i've recieved. so a few weekends ago, i was at a softball tournament. i was out in right field as i heard the other team's coach talking to their hitter "look at the gaps! the right fielder is so big she wont be able to get to anything you hit!"
i stood there and was like... you have GOT to be kidding me!
And, I can understand that it's still emotional to you. Cause that's something that really sticks to you. And stay there.. But keep being the incredible person you are. People love you! And I'm one of them! ;D
Sending love to you xxx and hugs!

I had to type a word to write a comment on your wall. Gogrilker.
I love how open you are about your past, Meghan. You're so relatable (spelliiiing) and comforting. Thanks for your honesty my dear.

By the way, I definitely share the Mom issues. I don't want to elaborate, but let's just say I empathize.

When I was in 6th grade, a lot of the boys in my grad pretended to like me, as a joke.
