Has any Chinese person commented on the size of your nose? (Not that there IS anything to say about it.. but Chinese people seem to be obsessed with nose sizes)
I want to learn both spanish and chinese. Which would you suggest I learn first? Which in your expirience, has been more useful? And what job opportunities do these languages open you up to?
Have you made any visits back to England since going to China? Did a year feel like a really big commitment, did you worry in case you hated it and wanted to go home?
Were you ever scared of coming to China in the first place ? Were you scared when coming to study abroad that you had to know the language there was nothing to worry about?
in learning a new language, what do you think is the best way to become fluent? obviously being submerged and having to use the language is the best way, but is there any sort of tip that you can give to someone who is trying to become fluent in a second language?
-How are college-level studies different in China than England/ other places you've been? Have you found that the government system has changed the experience?
Have you made a lot of actual Chinese friends, like, outside your school? What are they like? As a people, that sort of thing. I'm really interested in what happens when two people from completely different cultures become friends.
#2: Is it really hard learning a language when you're older? I really want to become fluent in Spanish (I'm still at an intermediate level) but I'm a math brain so it's harder for me I think. It's possible, but how hard is it?
Question - Do you only study Chinese or do you study any others? what made you decide to chose Chinese at university :D I study French & German for A Levels, but I'm considering starting another language :D
Have you found ways of getting through the 'great firewall of China'? I know that youtube is blocked over there, but ive heard that you can use proxy servers to jump over the wall...is that possible?
im thinking about minoring in german for my bachelors degree and then going to medschool in germany because university can cost as little as 250 euros per semester over there. right now im doing a foreign exchange and my german is good enough to read the harry potter books slowly. Do you think minoring in german will prepare me well enough for medschool?
I'm interested in international studies or something similar, but I'd have to start learning the language of my chosen country from scratch. When did you start learning your foreign language and how difficult do you find it?
Many of my friends who have visited China were struck at the discrepancy between the chinese food we eat in western europe and the US, and actual Chianese food. Did you find this to be ture and if yes what was your most surprising culinary experience?
How much chinese did you know before you went over there? and has it been easy to keep talking in english or did you have to learn chinese to survive? xx
I want to ask simply, why Chinese? You could have studied any language, but what drew you in to Chinese? Was it simply the fact that it's the most spoken language in the world? Or was it something you felt deeper than that, culturally maybe?
I can't think of anything off the top of my head I want to know about China but I'm DYING to know what you think of our new coalition masters and all that.

How are you finding learning by talking to native speakers?
I'm learning Russian but I think I will eventually have to go to Russia to to learn it properly.
Do people understand you?
And can you understand them?
If so, how easy is it to learn by just speaking to native speakers?

Hello!
I have a question (well two).
