these verses resonate a truth I needed to hear .. can't believe I never heard this before now .. Like shadows into the night To martyr yourself to caution Is not going to help at all Can you see your days blighted by darkness? Is it true you beat your fists on the floor? Stuck in a world of isolation While the ivy grows over the door So I open my door to my enemies And I ask could we wipe the slate clean
Thank you for existing, you give me always passion and always make me think about what is right to do during our life, about what is the sense of the human being on this Earth.
Great song - Gilmour is my favorite guitarist & he is an excellent acoustic player as well...I miss Waters, he & David did some great stuff together...He was like John Lennon was to McCartney...sort of a balance of dark & light...but Pink is still making some great music!
David Gilmour and Roger Waters - each hugely talented along different dimensions. Even Syd Barrett's tragic fall and the ensuing angst and tensions served to breathe life into the Pink Floyd sound. I'm glad that this is David Gilmour's song.
One of my favorite songs by Pink Floyd! First time I heard it, I was in my room, laying on my bed, in the dark, nearly falling asleep, then foot steps...then the door slams! "who's there?" I get up and yell! lol
thank you for taking the time to represent such an awesome band and song with a great video
