  • this is NOT how you should build a seat in a tile shower. If you continue to do work like this you will get sued eventually for improperly installing showers. You should get some training or at least watch a few videos from manufacturers of shower products. DO NOT HIRE THIS PERSON!!!!!!!!!

  • looks good

  • the only problem with this type of seat is no toe kick space. the seat is a toe stubber..

  • @Hagfan789 It's in a corner, You'd have to be pretty clubsy to stub a toe in there. And toe kicks are for cabinets. On a shower seat that would just make a place for mold to grow.... Think before you speak. :)

  • I always use Styrofoam block tape it and mud it, instead of that, that would collect water in there

  • @zsoltv Not the way i sealed it and if water does get underneath...It can come back out and drain (It's above the shower Pan)

  • "treated" wood...Covered by Backer Board...Taped, Thin-Setted & Tiled...Then Sealed 3 times!

  • I was in the Reserve today on Deer Run, McNair. I saw a shower seat that looked just like this one. Tile in the main house had meen removed tho.
