  • I don't know about you but I'm bored to tears with the dialogue. Simple solution; Target one of the major banks and put them out of business. Don't you think the other banks would see this and get the message?

Talk accomplishes nothing. It's time to act.

Bank of America is one of the worst culprits, a truly evil corportation.

They pioneered the concept of cheating their own customers, and the other banks follow their lead.

Kill Bank of America- before it kills you.

  • The amounts being charged in fees, as shown here, are more like a punishment than purely covering administration costs or interest. Charging some sort of cost is for the overdraft is ok, but it has to be a reasonable amount.

  • A few weeks ago I tried paying $15 with my debit card at a gas station which didnt go through at the end, and I had to pay with a different card, but they still overdrawn me with $75 from the first card. Since I was visiting the US and over here in Hungary banks doing something like this is unheard of, I was very surprised and shocked to say the least. I called the bank a few days later and they told me what was going on and they have put the money back, but after 1 week of my failed attempt.

  • From my own experiences I feel these people's pain, but in most cases it's their own fault. If people would keep better track of their balances they wouldn't have this problem. Check your balance every day, even if you think you know what it is. Remember too that there are purchases that can take days to post, so your apparent balance isn't always accurate. If you must, keep a ledger as if you've been writing checks instead of using your card. It's inconvenient, but it beats the alternative.

  • You know they have this thing call cash. You go to your bank or ATM and check your balance and draw out less than what you have in your account. How fucking hard is that? Now a merchant putting a hold on your account and then they hit you with overdraft fees is bullshit. Most people don't know if you buy gas at the pump it's a like a $50-$75 hold on your account until you finish pumping your gas and it can take up to 2 or 3 days to go away.

  • I was charged 20 dollars for a .75 cent purchase. Call me irresponsible but I definitely feel taken advantaged of and better yet financially pimp slapped.

  • Don't by when you don't have the money

  • Why people like him allow it to happen? I will never allow that happen to me. So great to be debt free. My humble origin really save me from this kind of American ruine.

  • Mine is $35 each and my last month totaled $280. Tried to remove that feature and they said it's not possible.

  • crooks, and we bailed their asses out when they were overdrawn. and they pay 1% interest on savings and cds. They are scumbags and crooks, like all of corporate America.

  • That's horrible.
