  • Thanks for your work but I 'disliked' your video because:

    1. Manufacturers don't owe you anything other than the product and service promised. You can't expect them to keep your TV up-to-date by slowing down further advances.

    2. With regards to your comparison of the attitudes toward manufacturer brands and religion: The fact that the brain's response is similar in both circumstances might equally be an indictment of religion rather than 'fanboyism'.

  • useless for now

  • One more thing, I think that Ultra HD has a long way to go befote it comes to our homes, because we need something compatible with this monster, like movies or games, wich will need up to 16x more memory space than on HD wich would be the same as a 512GB movie OMG : O

  • i dont know, cuz I play alot with my iDevices, but y also play a lot with my Xbox so...

  • My primary gaming devise is the xbox 360.

  • @LACK78 Hey Dave, so when are you upgrading your iMac? I was thinking about getting the 27" iMac 3.4GHZ i7.

    Cheers,

    Franky

  • Oh my gosh, I must get a white iPhone 4 even though I already own a black one and when the iPhone 5 comes out I must own the white and black versions.

  • xbox360

  • pc

  • PS3s

  • You are such an idiot! If it were not for the push for 1080P HDTV the technology for 8K UDTV would not have been developed... So you are, in essence, disrepescting the concept of technology in general. You might as well do a video and rant about the leap from black 'n white to color TV because, hey some people had just spent a lot of money on their black 'n white television sets when television stations started to broadcast in color. What stupid logic you go by.

  • Xbox 360 all the way

  • psp

  • my ipod touch :p

  • it used to be a wii, now an ipod touch, want it to bee a 360

  • PC

  • someone once told me that 1 year in the technology industry is like 10 years in any other industry

  • 360/Wii/iPod Touch/PC/N64

    (In that order :D)

  • 360

  • I hope apple makes apple tv fully interactive between our tv and iPod touch, iPhone, iPad so they become input devices or controllers for games or interactive tv programs

  • My primary gaming devices are my iPad and iMac

  • I still use the same TV I used for my NES. I'll probably upgrade in 2013.

My primary gaming device it my PC. I also use my ZuneHD and Android tablet if I feel like doing something new.

  • ultra hd wont hit the consumer market for atleast a decade. most pro digital slr camera's can't even make images of that resolution.

  • Xbox 360, PSP,PC iPod Touch

  • I am waiting for 5D TV's.

  • I dont even own a HD tv :O

  • 7680x4320 on a 85" screen isn't very impressive at all. In fact, it's one third (1/3) the pixed density of retina. Now, have that resolution on a 27" screen and then we'll talk.

  • PS3, Xbox 360 and PC

  • 360 all the way! ;D

  • Ps3 all the way way better then an xbox 360

  • Lol what a copy of jon4lakers videos of him on the Technobuffulo website

  • Thanks for putting some text in the video David!

My primary gaming device is my laptop. A rather competent gaming laptop. I have a PS3 which I rarely use, and a nVidia Tegra 2 powered android device, which I hope will deliver quality gaming soon.

  • pc all the way

  • I still use my desktop pc which boasts an 850 mhz intel cpu 512mb of RAM, a 20gb hdd running Windows 98 2nd ed. and boasts a big ass sticker on the front saying "Y2K Compliant" - for playing Atari Astroids.

  • ps3

  • my primary gaming device is my ipad 2 :)

  • ps3+pc

  • Xbox 360 modern warfare 2

  • ps3 or iphone, not really know, i guess ps3

  • Myn happens to be an Xbox 360.. however, I use it more for chatting with my mates then solely to play games

  • PS2. Not kidding.

  • Ultra HD > 3D imo

  • @Azzagard

3D isn't mature yet, but available for consumers. Wait until you can actually buy Ultra HD and watch for the incredible drawbacks along with the crazy prize. I say wait until 3D is mature, and then decide if you like it. And then wait for Ultra HD to become available and mature and decide which you prefer (although I don't see why we can't have both sometime Lol...).

  • @Azzagard to bad its completely useless since even now, most of the stuff on tv is 480p, and high quality movies are only 1080p

  • My primary is the ps3.

  • That tv is a beast.

  • I must say I have an Apple Addiction.

  • What are you a freaking psychiatrist.... don't tell me what to do

  • Apple cult 101:

    God: Steve Jobs

    Bible: Apple I manual

    Church: local Apple store

    Apocalypse: Steve Jobs dies.

    The end.

  • My primary gaming device is a PlayStation 3, but my MacBook Pro is in charge of playing Counter Strike Source and Team Fortress 2.

  • Nice Video.

Gaming Console: PC (Intel Core i3 3Ghz, 8GB of RAM, 640GB HDD, WIn7)

Handheld Gaming: iPod Touch 4G 8GB

  • Anyone else notice that the fold out keyboard picture had the iPad facing the wrong way? The cutout for the 32pin connector was met with the camera of the iPad!?

  • Sage advice Lack about technology.

My primary gaming device is my xbox 360

  • Ultra HD is sexy, but what can actually be played on it?

  • PS 3. love the fact that it got bluray unlike the xbox 360. btw great videos dave.

  • This is why most films and TV shows filmed in the last few years have been done so in 4k. I'm pretty shocked we haven't passed the 2560 x 1600 standard for computer displays yet to be honest. 40" isn't that much of a stretch for a monitor when you think how many people use their HDTV's as one (which incidentally have half the pixels as the 30" monitors on the market).

  • I buy apple products because they suit my needs yes they are great but I have the knowledge about what they are up to in the present and future and not to worship the brand and I have an xbox 360 for gaming and dvd playing and on the go an ipod touch

  • Mine is the iPhone 4

  • @daftpunk2050 lol AD 2005.

Dave's right. It's like that stupid bestbuy "buyback" commercial with the little girl and the 3DTV that requires no glasses.

  • Xbox 360

  • iPad

  • mine is the xbox 360

  • There is something very addictive about this brand. Can't really tell what is it. I wanted to buy a mac for the last 3 years. I feel hypnotized every time I am choosing one and just before buying it, I always come to my senses with realization that I would pay almost double what a PC with the same specs is worth. If I was to pay the american price I would buy it, but not for the european prices. As for the gaming I am on x360 and I am considering trying PS3 now.

  • @daftpunk9050 You don't buy the hardware so much as you buy the experience. Apple sell you the full thing, you get a well designed and built computer with an made for that hardware, with software and services that seamlessly blend it all together. I find most "PC" people love them because of the hardware rather than the OS. "Mac" people tend to love them because of the OS and richness of applications (ie, quality over quantity). It's personal preference, but to me the price is worth it.

  • My current gaming device is an Xbox 360.. But I had to replace that thing so many times that i am on my 5th one and if it goes again i am screwed..

  • @TriJoTv How is that? What happened to it?

  • holy crap that's a high resolution. how many ppi is that?

  • Great video dave I've been druged by the apple hype been upgrading my iPhone ,MacBook & iMac year on year I was caught in must have the latest starting to realise I'm only lining Cupertino pockets when I do.

  • Great video Dave, I game on almost everything but my primary gaming machine is the PS3.

  • I was gonna buy a new PC or Mac, but I'm still using my iMac from 2009 a 24". I just don't have the need for a new Mac or PC. I don't game on a PC or Mac, I don't use a computer for much at all besides video making, browsing the web, and playing some small facebook games and making some documents and saving my music library onto. That's it. So do I really need a high end Mac or PC? Simply no, for what I do, my Intel Core 2 Duo 3.06Ghz iMac still is good for me.

  • @ViciousDave4Life you sound rich....... can i have a macbook pro?

  • @Omanjack No, I'm no wear near rich, just because I was debating on whether to get a new computer doesn't mean I'm rich, it just means I was willing to spend $1000 or less on a computer based upon the small income of money I have collected over the past 2 years other than paying for rent and bills and food. YOU LOSE! GOOD DAY SIR!

  • @ViciousDave4Life Max out the RAM in your iMac and you'll be good for a while longer doing what you do. No need to rush out every time something new and shiny hits the market. The way people go on about new stuff is almost as if everything before that point is instantly useless and incapable of doing anything with. How did they edit feature films on those obsolete PowerMac G4's back in the day? The answer is, as well as they can now, it just took longer to render things lol.

  • @ViciousDave4Life from what I've heard Apple products work for years, I would suggest keeping the iMac another 1 or 2 years before upgrading unless your job really needs it. Great to hear someone not wasting money!

  • Indeed 

  • For instance Games on the consoles are restricted with the consoles boundaries and for the gaming company to improve there games they have to wait for the next console where as PC users already take advantage of the new graphics etc. In short i love to customize, btw i also use Mac's for gaming time to time, Warcraft is a prime example, Mac's are not worthless when it comes to gaming there is just limited choice

  • @MMOTotal Games on the PC are restricted by the limitations of the consoles too, because most games are made for all platforms these days, so you make them for the lowest common denominator. It's rare you get games made for the PC and only the PC, they tend to be indie offerings, MMO's or simulations, either way they're usually a fairly niche subset of the PC gaming market, which itself is a fairly niche part of the gaming market as a whole. We need a new console gen to push things forward on PC

  • @TalesOfWar sent you a video response, a lot of valid points made there

  • 360!!!!!

  • GAMING DEVICE -

I am torn between 360 and PC, some games i just have to own on the PC, it just feels better for me, i like the control setup with the keyboard and mouse, i also like how customizable they are and don't need to buy a "new one" when new stuff comes out, just replace some components, and of course there is the x-box, but i have found myself using it less and less as more powerful technology is being released and no new consoles are being released (continued)

  • Always enjoy your videos, Dave.

Bringing back my iPad2 tomorrow for a full refund. It sits here next to my iMac & iphone and I never use it. But, I "thought" I had to have it, lol! Talk about getting caught up in the hype of tech world. Glad I bought it at Best Buy and not at The Apple Store. I have 45 days to play with my toys, if not happy...full refund.

Man, that TV sure looks nice, lol!

    Peace,

    Tim 

  • Great video Dave. My favorite gaming device is my PC. But, I'd love to own an Xbox and a Kinect! ;)

  • Dave, your videos are just perfect, nice and relaxed with added humor, it is amazing how you present these videos and continue to do so. Great Work :)

  • Thumbs up again, Dave.

Frequently I hear mention about the 'Mac Cult' or 'Apple Cult', but rarely about 'Cults' of any other company, or against any of them.

  • @Westsound191 Right on, Westsound! :)

  • ps3!

  • nintendo 3ds

  • My computer is my gaming device... though I don't game as much as I used to... I've devoted more of my time to 3D stuff...

  • UltraHD wont make HD redundant for a LOOOOONG time. People can tell the difference between SD and HD, but not a lot of people can tell the difference between HD and ultraHD unless its like a 100 inch screen

  • I don't replace anything, until it quits... if my hardware still works, it obviously has done the job I need it to thus far, so why replace it, if it works, just to say I've got the latest and the greatest... which sometimes turns out to be duds, more or less.

  • @CJCA915 I'd hate to see your toothbrush dude :D

  • @daftpunk9050 Funny, but that I do replace... I was talking about electrical equipment...

  • @CJCA915 I believe you do, just kidding. I know exactly what you are talking about. I still have a desktop under my desk from AD 2005 and believe it or not I still play company of heroes on it from time to time. It still perfectly does the job with Windows 7. Can't say anything bad about it.

  • Psh, I still use good old reliable CRT TV's... :D

  • @CJCA915 CRT's are still awesome! Sort of. They have BRILLIANT colour reproduction, fantastic viewing angles and are very bright with a very low response time. The problem is the size and the power consumption really, and it's pretty hard (and expensive) to replace them with LCD displays that are as good or better than CRT's are on all those parts (minus size and power use of course). I just replaced my last CRT with a £500 Ultrasharp, I didn't want anything less than IPS as I need the colour.

  • haha i love the little comments like the one about questioning reality... i freaking love this guy :D

  • soo fammily guy was right? lol

  • FIRST!
