It had nothing to do with the kurds being sunni alevi or yezidi.

Ii was about loyality, the ottoman were the rulers and, like anywhere in the world, there are people, even within the surpressed side, that colloborate to gain power.

These were the Kurds that murdered armenians. Those who act under the turkish orders. This is nowhere comprehensible, but it shows who was responsible.

And those traitors are the ones who later survived the massacres commited on the kurds in turkey (till today)

I thought it was just a love song written by Kosmtas a Armenian song writter. I think it has something to do with yearning of love but its to far away to reach.

If this song is in fact about the Armenian Genocide then who came up with the idea? Because the first time I heard this song from Zara's CD Я Не Та that was the first thing to come to mind, "The Armenian Genocide" it sounded sad but beautiful at the same time.

This is the best Dle Yaman I have heard, ever. I heard Flora Mardirossian sing it once acapella, without any instruments, and my skin had needles all over, but her official performance has too many instruments for my taste. Life was always taken away from us Armenians, and it was cut short for many of us, so we've learned how to make a split second last a lifetime. Aznavour's Pomegranate scene in the movie Ararat is another example of that, and this song has many seconds that last forever.
