Only one reason i dont like this joker. Mark Hamil isnt the voice. Mark was the man. He's voice and manical laugh MADE the Joker so infamous. Seriously, Now its like they get the most deep voiced black guys to take the role. ~__~ its just garbage no offense. Other than that i like him but he is never gunna beat classic suit and tie slick Joker. I mean He is a cool villan hes more like The Creeper that the Joker to be honest. But... New generation of fans need a new kind of Joker I guess...

I'll admit, this Joker is not my favorite. However the Joker is a character who MUST be molded to suit his environment. Hammil's Joker was the flip side to the Batman of the world of TAS, simply because it was dark. It wasn't toned down. But it was still a children's show, and that was taken into account. Ledger's Joker was made for a 'real world'. And really? Acid doesn't do that to you. So a Glasgow Smile was implimented. This one may be the 'kid friendly' Joker, but he's still a monster.

I personally love this Joker. Hamill's Joker is more about the crime with a funny twist. He's more like the serious, menacing, semi-stable joker from The Killing Joke.

This one focuses on the madness, completely unhinging the Joker's brain. He's psychotic, unstable, unpredictable and based on the Arkham Asylum (comic) Joker. Ps, the voice for the new one is spot on. He needed a darker voice and they did Hamill a service by not associating him with this one, stating that they are not the same.

nope sorry...i just cant accept this gorilla as the joker...maybe its cause hes crap, maybe its because i grew up with the old joker but in any case its a matter of opinion...at least this joker smiles instead of having some stupid scars...anyways, the most awesome thing about the joker with mark hamil and since he wont be doing the jokers voice anymore, joker is basically death. these new versions are just money makers in the end...too bad for the kiddies that will only experience this joker...

I wouldn't this joker's more insane... okay maybe I would. The older jokers used people more, and while they used guns/other depending on the show. This one focusing on hand-to-hand combat which is pretty "in" today.

Its too bad this series already ended. This joker had alot of new possibilities that the others couldn't. Not to mention mixing new design & personality adjustment with modern era adds a lot. *cough Metal Face of comedy cough*

Agreed. Plus, all the old villains in the 90's were never threatening, and they never did Joker justice. With this Joker, he's not refined, he's not civilized. He's cold, insane, laughs at order, and just does whatever he wants. He's something that society has always feared-a nonconformist who wants to prove that everyone is insane as he is. When they finally see that, they'll know whats so funny.

I guess they do, since it's already into it's 5th season. I agree with you that B:TAS is...better, but people keep forgetting that violence in cartoons has become pretty strict these days. And, this cartoon wouldn't be very original if they copied all the elements from B:TAS. Also: the new show kind of lost its "darkness" since the 3rd season...which really disappointed me there.

The episode's titled "The Apprentice". I actually didn't care for the episode since it seemed so goofy almost the whole way through, but when I watched towards the end, THAT'S when things started to get good. Joker drags this kid along in his hideout and tells the boy that he won't live up to "Joker" standards unless the kid takes a chemical bath like Joker. So, what does Joker do-- he tries to make/force the kid into his chemicals. I thought those scenes were great!
