Because Kiwis an species of bird found only in New Zealand and they are slowly becoming extinct. Purely because of poaching from predatory animals and uncontrolled breeding. It is also the New Zealanders national Icon. e.g Australia = Kangaroo, New Zealand = Kiwi. Your movie is beautiful. Cute and poetic in the same way the first one was, but instead of a message of utter despair like the original, yours is a message of hope. I like you believe that it is possible to live one's dreams not just to die for them, if one is willing to take the risks and work beyond the pain.
