  • 2:09 was interesting

  • Same dude that plays RAM 90!!! I seen the moeller tech., Some strong beach, and paralleled rhythms see 1:02...

  • nothing boring about some push pull rolls XD

  • Dci snare drumming has gotten so far from where it needs to be.

  • his sounds quality seems sub-par to other blue devils player. but that may just b the video.

  • i don't like how he plays...

  • Is he left handed?he seems to be ore comfortable with his left.

  • he looks like an orc from warcraft...lol

  • yes my lord. lol

  • Wow these blue devil guys are insane...

  • not really fun but the technique is very good

  • hahaha he made things up as he went...

  • I like the technique he is using. It looks like it flows very well with his playing.

  • Doesn't look like he's having much fun... Still awesome though.

  • 2:03

how in the world do you do that

  • watch rcc 06, he does it even faster

  • I'm learning how to do it. It's like a double-stroke 'open/close' concept, except you do it continuously.

  • Watch the SCV audition video (you can buy it on tapspace). The push pull concept is explained there. A large portion of SCV's technique this year is based on that concept.

  • That was meant to be a reply to TankerBoy, by the way.

  • im pretty sure he's using the push pull method. you can find videos on how to do it all over the youtube.

  • Look up moeller technique, or Push pull

  • what he is doing is called the molar. Its tripilets on one hands and if you do it fast enough its a roll

  • He's not playing Moeller it's push-pull.

  • @potpie2004 not moeller its push-pull homie...scv style

  • Are the snares even on?

  • yeah, 2004 bd snares were as dry as a damn desert.

  • Honestly lol.

  • bad ass chops

  • Amazing!

  • I love his face when he does those push-pull strokes... Awesome.

  • Makana, you rock man.

  • i like the sound quality from the drums that BD used in 04, but those buzz rolls sound like a tree going thru a sawmill.

  • good solo, but it's kind of boring compared to Ivan Pacheco or Nico Jasniewicz in 2004. I mean Im not saying I can play it or anything.

  • ya you got a good point.

  • @rayl9 I think it's because he doesn't show as much emotion.

  • @TIMEDISORT agreed. Great player though

  • It seems like he improvised it...but sweet one-handed roll nonetheless.

  • yeah, most people have a improvised part in their solos

  • wow, I didn't know that...I thought it wouldnt be allowed.

  • yeah, its not like they have to turn in music that they write

  • not a one handed roll... just some pushpull stroke...

  • 2:15 stolen from Niko Jasniewicz?

  • lol maybe, or Niko might've stole it from him

  • Cool, what place did he get?

  • uhhh....I haven't been in DCI, but I'm a drummer and drum789, um, buzz rolls are not easy play cleanly unless you practice like a lot. Mine's still not clean. So, ya know, just sayin.

  • Enough hertas?

  • you can never have enough hertas

  • amazing. but many percussionist do buzz rolls in competions. and im kinda getting tired of the buzz roll. and its the easiest to do!

  • Have you been in DCI??

    Noppeee...
