I was on that cruise in July 2004. QM2's first time to the fjords and Norway. Fantastic cruise.

The QE2 looks and sounds alot better! Shame cunard had to go give her to the Arabs but still the Qe2 is a wonderfull ship and the Qm2 isnt half bad either

She's not as pretty as the original Queens or the QE2 but really beautiful cruise ships/ocean liners are a thing of the past. It is no longer economically possible to build a sleek-elegant passenger ship. For new ships, the Disney ships come close but they're no match for the beauties of the past.

Most beautiful sound i have ever heard. I work often around the best PA system in the world (an opus audio rig), own a pretty damn good hifi system and the QM2 simply blows each one away. The sound is haunting and simply amazing. This youtube and its audio compression does not do it justice unfortunately.

I COMPLETELY AGREE! They look like buildings that were dropped into the water! The last of the truely magnificent ships were the Olympic- class! They were real ships!
