  • Sounded like stripper music, but good video. Here I come, Rome!

  • you have some great stuff here

  • i really want to go to rome and see the old aqueducts still standing.

  • How about the weather in January? we are moving to Roma next week :)

  • @Ftlil1 Cold (For Rome..of course) 2°-4° .morning and evening 10°-12° during the day (if its a day with sun).

Obviously...speaking in general (could do more cold or no).

  • @lazios I forgot ... rarely rain (in January).

  • why is the music so loud ?

  • Useful video, thanks, we're going there for a long wekend soon. BUT why the overloud music ? It contributes nothing and distracts from what is being said.

  • Welcome in Rome to everybody... if you need a dance studio here just ask ;-)

  • I will tell easier: "Welcome to Rome!"

  • Enjoy your holiday in Italy

  • i might be going to rome and/or Pompeii in 2013 when im a sophomore

  • Just a Shame Evil Christians destroyed Rome and the Pax Romana

  • sorry about that, I really love your video, but your accent is a bit less than understandable on Italian name of places...

  • I like the music for the vid, where can I find it by itself?

  • I can't find the information on this video on the website. can you please help me?

  • Bella da visitare, ma per viverci....tutto un altro discorso!

  • when we went we walked every where, and it was in the 90's and 100's. We were also miles away from every thing

  • I'm going to Rome in mid november and I am wondering if this is when this video is made. Was i really cold? What clothes do you suggest to pack? Also was it Pompeii that was the 20 minutes out of the city, or a city simular to it? If not, how far is Pompeii from Rome? Thanks

  • @Kittylovr Hey there. This video was made in April. It will be chilly enough in November so definitely take warm clothes with you. Pompeii is around 3 hours from Rome - it's closer to Naples. From Naples you can get a train there. Hope this helps :)

  • @hostelworld @vangrails @TheGiacomopuccini @petrah82 Thanks so much for the advice. Very appreciated. Kinda disappointed that I decided to go one of the rainiest months... But you take what you get. I only have 3 days in Rome, and I don't want to waste time traveling, so Pompeii will be for another trip. I live in Massachusetts so November in LA is summer for me lol! Again thank you all so much!!!!

  • @Kittylovr

It was not Pompeii but Ostia Antica, Ostia Antica is 20 minutes out of the city.

  • @Kittylovr I don't know if it can help but november and april are the most rainy months in Rome, it is very possible you will need an umbrella, the temperature is cold but not so cold, if you've been there think about november in los angeles with the rain. The distance from pompei is 212 kms, it's not so close :) .

  • @Kittylovr I travelled between Pompeii, Rome and Sorrento just a couple of weeks ago. My advice is that you take the bus from Tiburtina station in Rome directly to Pompeii. The name of the bus is called Marozzi, it takes around 3 hours and costs around 17 euro :) You can also travel by train, but then you have to change train in Naples.

  • @petrah82 we plan to rent a car in Rome to sorrento , will it be a good idea . We have never been there. Thanks Arizona

  • @loseweightwidme That was our plan too... until we came to Italy. Im from Sweden and im not used to that kind of traffic at all xD They drive very fast and the streets are crowded, especielly between Napoli and Sorrento. So we decided to go by bus instead. But if you are used to tough traffic I guess you can rent a car :) I wish you a great time in Italy!

  • @petrah82 We are 61 millions in a national area half the size of Sweden, is normal have a great and crazy traffic XD.

  • @loseweightwidme defnaly sorrento it s amazing u ll not be back to usa lol amalfi coast it s great ....

  • (((((( THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ETERNAL HISTORIC CITY IN THE WORLD ))))))

  • i wish there was some mention of all the bloody gypsies there, i was not prepared for them pulling fast ones on me

  • @irishboy664 I was wondering what you mean by mentioning about the gypsies pulling fast ones on you. ?

I am traveling to Rome in beginning of october and what a complete review of what to expect there.

clothing to wear, what about handbags (i'm a female), places to avoid, etc.

Thanks for your help and input.

  • I'm from rome, but I never heard about any of the restaurants you say. For genuine roman cuisine, you gotta go in testaccio or trastevere. in the center you gotta know where to eat, it's full of touristy places!

a tip, buy the guide "Roma c'è" . it's in italian, but it has got the whole thing, concerts, hotspots and so on...

For nightlife. you never go wrong with trastevere, piazza trilussa, piazza campo dei fiori. hust walk around and choose your disco or pub. my hint? a good enoteca

  • ETHERNAL CITY,THE BEST IN WORLD

  • Hahaha I love the old nosey woman at 6:45...Its looks pretty warm but her and all the rest of Italians still wear there heavy winter coats. Hahaha

  • Never mind the metro - hire a bike from "Top Bike", Via Quattro Cantoni - just up from the Forum off Via Cavour - super guys. Bicycle gives you freedom to go anywhere!!

  • Dublin has to be the most boring and morbid town in the world and people who live there just dont know life or there own self-worth its like a prison because almost every bar and food-store has arrogant polish security gaurds on them and everybody judges you for simple things like the way you dress act behave walk and talk its SICK get the fuck out and live your life . You cannot exspress your true self in Dublin because the culture is so exstremley different to everywhere.

  • Hello dear friends! As you look at the expense of new business contacts? I am interested in a positive and active people who are open to communication and familiarity with your colleagues! • ROME and NEW YORK...are the most beautiful cities in THE WORLD!!!!!!!! ITS A FACT!!!!!

  • its interesting that you haven't done Sydney.... to be honest... i think Sydney (or even melbourne) can give european cities a run for their money..... Sydney has it all.... beautiful examples of all periods of architecture.... (the English cloned europe in sydney during the 1700 and 1800's... it is said that during the 1800's.... more stone masons were working in sydney and melborne than all of europe) and Sydney has beaches... and taller skyrise than any european city...

  • @paddlepopkid actually i should have wrote this comment on paris or london... coz i actually love Rome the most.... and Rome is the most ancient..!!

  • I went there this summer. It was such a beautiful city. LOVED IT!

  • Rome is beautiful... but a big rip off... and Vatican city is awesome.. only thing is it hide the sins of priests, bishops etc. just look at the wealth the Catholic Church has here and people starving worldwide... .. the Pope and co are a law unto themselves as you know..they even have their own currency.. how bad !!!. enough said... and im a catholic .... i would not go back over the recent revelations and sickening cover-ups... pope should go.... Anyway again, Rome is beautiful to see.

  • Romans were religious and ethnic murderers... seems to me that they taught the Fascists ( the word stems from a fascia, a group of wheat covering an axe [ symbolizing substance governed by power] ) all they know just imagine someone advertising a gas chamber as a "tourist" attraction...Roll up Roll up, look where we killed millions!! ROME WE KILL PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT ROMANS ! But look at our lovely architecture...THEY WERE TORTURE SITES..we invented law..TO KILL OTHER PEOPLE

  • @jimdemovie problably, you ignorant, don t know that the longest EVER period of peace existed in EUROPEAN HISTORY was under the ROMANS: the PAX ROMANA, over 200 years!
