Beautiful. The saxophone bit at the end sounds very similar to "All & Everyone"... I wonder if there is any other relation between the two songs... will have to have a re-listen. "Let England Shake" is one of Polly's better albums in my opinion (but I think I'll always like "Is This Desire?" best).
@zemonsta I think you're right. I remember the first time I heard this I was disheartened because it had been relatively blatantly repeated...lol. Still love this song lots though.
I also hate that there is no physical release of this, at least as CD,..and from that, at least that I know.
I fucking hate i-tunes...I'll be ripping this. I generally hate mp3s, they're the most volatile media, as I have lost many songs due to computer fuck ups ie crashes and what not. CDs are cool, but how many do you find skip after a while (even if you've kept them spick and span!?) For longevity, BUY VINYL!!! They definitely seem to last the longest.
PJ in London at the weekend was excellent by the way... =OD
@jcavale Yes, I can see how the "Let England Shake" album was written around the time of the "White Chalk" tour... I do like that there traces of the White Chalk album in the Let England Shake album.
Thanks for posting this. Gone to Amazon & bought the download.
Shame no CD version.

Really amazing album...love all her works, especially "Is this desire?" and "White Chalk"

Why the f*ck do they put TWO BONUS TRACKS (this and "The Guns Called Me Back Again" ) only as mp3 downloadable from iTunes?!
They are not present in the CD!

@VonMetterling
Big Guns is the B-side to Murder. I don't think it was a second bonus song. But now that I think about it, that might actually be worse.
