and i want to be american ( of north ) because everything here is expansive because of the taxes etc, can be a good country by natural beautiful and come here sometimes for travel but i wish was born in other country
Thats why I love BRAZIL!!! I WISH I WAS BRAZILIAN!!! BUT i might be American by Nationality but I will always BE BRAZILIAN IN HEART!!! THis country is truly unbelievable!!!
Great documentary, but it misses the cultures of the states in the central west and southern states and many more cultures in the north eastern states (North east is not only what it showed). Brazil is big not only in size and people, but also in cultures what is still unknown for many foreigners.
i'm brasilian, and i liked the film, it show about other places that probably foreigners still didn't know, but, i don't know more 'cose just show and discribe poor places, and the Brazil is very big, not just a litle, is very very big, with a population near of 150 milion, and the most part live in sao paulo state, and soulth of brazil, the north and Bahia there are few habitants if you compare with sao paulo, every body in Brasil is changing their lifes coming to sao paulo
@digoboyzon maybe because the most part of brazilians are still poor, and poor people today are the ones who keep alive our cultural traditions unfortunally rich people in our coutry want to live like gringos. Well. imporving the economic conditions of our population and keeping our culture alive are both a challenge that sure we will win. The foreigners want to know something different , they don't wanna see big avenues, buildings and malls because they have this in every little town.
@Japhy78 You have a good point, but this part where you propose the theory that poor people equals culture while rich people equals gringos, just doesn't make much sense.
Sailing a crappy ass boat is not culture, people do that out of necessity, the same goes for living in slums or taking care of cattle for a landowner.
Most Brazilians may not realize that, but the life in southern Brazil is nothing like in "Gringoland" at all. The culture is still preserved even on richer communities.
@ziguirayou well maybe.. i don't know..I was born and raised in a rich neighboorhood of sao paulo where i hardly saw people caring about national culture, honetly i think brazilian elite does't give a damn to Brazil, that's the reason of some our problems. Sailing that boat or living in slums is a result of poverty, i totaly agree with, about this. Brazil is rich but brazilians mostly are poor, well this is such a long discussion...Where are you from? Vc é brasileiro, de onde?
This was a really great film! One of the best I've seen on Brazil. I dream of going there one day...Seeing the ref at the end was funny, too! Obrigado, Discovery!
