Actually from what I understand, dogs who do that are not trying to get dry. Rather, they are trying to get the smell of soap off their fur and get back their own "scent" by rubbing themselves against things that have their scent on from the rest of the apartment. Make of it what you will.
My dog (German Shepherd/Sharpei mix) does the exact same thing after a bath. Only she tries to do it on my bed. Lol. Luckily she dries pretty fast. :)

awww once i gave my golden a bath and right away he ran down stairs and started drying her self on the carpet. then she got dirty again lol at least its fun giving dogs baths right?
That's a happy dog ! Look at his tail! Dogs are happy no matter where they live. Is that a house in Russia? Looks like an American or Japanese house - I used to see that during the Soviet days, houses were poor looking. Hopefully things are looking up in Russia these days.
My golden Shasha is just like this.. =) She's already get excited when she sees me holding her towel and if I lay it on the floor she would just roll in it. But she loves it best when I dry her off with it. =)
My Golden Retriever does this too after his baths! And he runs through our house (on tile floors) slipping ans sliding around looking for a rug to rub up on!
My back would end up in pain trying to do the same, but im a human

Ha, my dog (border collie x cocker spaniel) used to do that after his baths. He hated being bathed so afterward he'd be all desperate to get dry lol
