Understanding yes. You cant communicate with a bee (you can only influence its behavior but it is still very much conscious no?. Awareness is all I believe is needed for the classification.

Why does it have to have a cause? I see what you are getting at; if something happens then there must be a first cause which has to be God. I don't have the answer; if you want to say that God is the universe I guess that is the best answer. But, just because we don't know why something happends doesnt mean that there is a first cause!

The idea that human evolution is being "pulled" forward in time is not accurate. The universe is evolving based on self organization starting at the atomic level. The movement toward more complexity is caused by self-organization starting at the atomic level and going up many levels to the whole universe level.

@linuxguru1968 negative. Its both a pull and a push. Theres the truth about the "God mind" your ignoring. Evolution is not without its reason/purpose.

@Oen713 Thats your opinion. But, what I maintained was that because things happen does not mean that a concious entitiy put it into motion. Your words "reason/purpose" imply conciosness which you call the "God Mind". You might be right or wrong. But, just because evolutions seems to lead to more "complexity" doesnt PROVE a concious entity started it all.

@linuxguru1968 My definition of "God consciousness" is not at all the same as mans conscious thought (which is what most take it as). "God"/Universe doesn't experience time the way we do (time being relative). I say its both because looking at creation from a linear time line is fundamentally flawed.

Hard to explain here, anyways, I "know" one day youll see my point of view. Your apparently a seeker of truth yourself. Probably sooner than you think :).

@linuxguru1968 Communication doesn't define consciousness. How do you communicate with something that exist THROUGH space and time via words? But I do get your point, our definition of consciousness is definitely a linear time line based one. But words can be semantical... Im just saying its a TYPE of awareness. All of this (life/existence) being created for the soul purpose of experience. "Universe experiencing itself subjectively". Thats why everything in this matrix exist.. everything.

Turing once said that if a person could sit at at teletype and commuicate with a computer and they were convinced that another human was at the other end, his test was fofilled. But, to infer conciousness requires that their be bi-directions communication between the alleged "concious" entitiies. Thats al I am saying.

@linuxguru1968 I just got why you "infered" that. Like i said before... thats the typical understanding of it. Linear consciousness. When speaking of God/Universe... time and space are a factor. Remember, im not talking about God as religion views it. Dont believe in that angry, jealous, wrathful, all loving GUY (people are misguided). Im talking about a definition very much different.

In anycase... from what I can tell... you'll find out. Just remember, always seek unbiasedly.

He only means that it is 'alien' to us, very strange...and what lies ahead, what is pulling us toward our future, could very well be 'God.' Mckenna, like me, does not speculate, as I also do not presume to know the mind of God. If it is, our notions of God are severely misinformed...and ya know, I bet they are...
