  • is it true what you said

  • Unfortunately, we will never see ALL the classic series on dvd or any other media, not only are there episodes lost, but there was also ones that were recorded over. I think what the BBC should do, is release some of the missing ones that they still have the sound recording to, and do what they did with The Invasion. I thought it was well done and didn't seem out of place. Who agrees the BBC should get their act together?

  • @TheD0CT0RWH0fan The problem is animating episodes is that it's very expensive. Fortunately the soundtrack for ALL missing episodes survive, so it would be possible, if they could make it cheap enough, or sell enough of the DVDs to continue making them.

  • @TheD0CT0RWH0fan I agree.

  • @TheD0CT0RWH0fan Every 60's Doctor Who original master tape was wiped not just some. Some were put onto 35mm film on which they were broadcast and 16mm film recordings were made of all episodes of Doctor Who (except 'The Feast Of Steven' which was wiped with no copies ever being made). The audio for every missing episode not only exists but has been released on CD. The two missing episodes from 'The Reign Of Terror' are being animated and will be on DVD later this year.

  • 100% proof that some cans exists somewhere! Brilliant. 100% proof that you can't spell either.

  • Proof this guy is a bit of a tool.

  • Well, I'm convinced! Tin cans? Say no more! Say no more!

  • Can's were re-used so often you get back missing episode cans but they contain something else. If New Zealand has these films they would have given them back.

  • I must have missed the bit where you prove that the films still exist, because all I saw was a couple of old reused film cans. What a shame you can't tell the difference between proof and wild, unfounded speculation.

  • if there real why haven't they released them on dvd

  • the episodes were put in film cans and sold abroad but most of the time they would end up scrapped, having film cans with the episodes on means nothing

  • That's no proof. That's the film can.

  • I was hoping for the rest of Web Of Fear!

  • shame no footage, anyone could make this type of claim. How often have we heard it. But there probably are some collectors out there sitting on material.

  • That's not proof of anything and you really REALLY can't spell

  • I loved it when you said The Moonbase ALL Episodes it made me feel like they were there

  • @grant24678 well there out there but were thats qestion someones going to find them one day and hopefully this is going to give pepole the push to find them obviosly the person who found the cans didnt realizize the inportance of the films

  • @critic189 I'm sorry but that's just not true. Cans were often reused and recycled as was the case with Fury 6. The episodes were not 'lost' as such but destroyed. In fact the master tapes for EVERY Doctor Who episode in the 60s were wiped. I suggest you read 'Wiped! Doctor Who's Missing Episodes' for more info.

  • That's proof that the cans these episodes were once contained in still exist (note the spelling), not the episodes themselves

  • @whobp8 Listen to those two retard, fanboy, virgin losers! how neurotic & pathetic to judge someones spelling!
