its more-ann but i really wouldn't care. irish people are the biggest dopes on the planet, i wouldn't say many of us would be able to pronounce some names from other countries, get over it outlander
We give a fuck because we (the literati) would hope that by getting this one pronunciation right, that civilization could take a small step out from the monotonous slide towards extinction by stupidity.
If 'education' turns me into a big a wanker as you, I think I'll give it a miss. You really need to take your head out of your arse. I'm not going to reply to any of your other comments, so don't bother responding to this one.
It's a name, everyone gets names wrong, it doesn't make the world stupid. no one knew how to spell shakespeare during his time, and i'm sure he didn't get angry at them. REally, it's not even your name tey are getting wrong, it's someone elses so why does it matter? sure if it as your name and thy were talkign about you then go ahead and complain but its not.
Well when your nto irsh its kind of hard, you can't jsut expect peopel to jsut know how to pronounce names that can be pronounced in different ways. Unless we have been told how to pronounce it get over it. Fuck sake to those people who get angry over such small things.
all you hav to do is just ask how its said. ive realised it doesnt seem to bother DM though. that or hes given up trying to get people to say it right. maybe im just overreacting, heres a little query, how do u think "ronan" is pronounced?
How it's spelt? I don't come across alot of Ronans, but really my names Ashleigh, alot of the tiem when peopel don't know they spell it "Ashley" so i'm on the same boat as those who have thier names pronounced wrong. I just say it's spelt the wrong way, it's spelt the cool way :P
Ah, i cant remember what point i was going to make. My dads name is ronan. when he lived in london in the 80s no one could ever pronounce his name. he always ended up being called Ronald or just Ron.
Ronald? wheres the d in ronan lol? I would pronounce his name as it's spelt. I guess Ron is better than nothing, people can't help it if they can't pronounce something right, but they shouldn't call him ronald, unless your dad didn't mind.
True, true! I hate when people say "Mor-AN". It's "Mor-IN". What is it with people and Irish surnames? And I think he actually said "it's pronounced Fitzsimons" (not that it matters that much).
i have this dvd! :D it's fucking hilarious!

The 'literati', in this case being synonymous with arrogant tosspot.

That should be tosspots.. if in fact you are talking about 'we', the literati. Seriously, try education. It's not half bad.
