@ussaujifixation all things are lawful for me but not all things are profitable. 1 Cor. 6:12. Try eating bacon cheeseburgers everyday for a month. Maybe then you will understand my point.
@squitmaa this means you've sinned a lot. But on the other hand it means that you haven't understood god very properly. He means that you stop eating meat. No meat eating anymore. If you eat meat knowing from the bible knowing it is sin, then you will be more sinful than the man who eateth with no knowledge of the bible. I also know what you mean by eating meat everyday and your conscience is disgusted . You've said that you reduced meat eating. -So hopefully, you top eating meat completely.
@ussaujifixation I certainly do fall short of the Glory of God, and I'm doing my best to fix that. Hopefully God will continue to give me plenty of help. God Bless.
I like this guy! You're right there bro. I think pastor Mike didn't want to say it quite like that. That we ate meat from the beginning, means since the time of Adam and Eve. After the fall of course. Good thing you reiterated and corrected that fact though. Good Job man. God bless
Hey, good to see you back. One thought I had was this; it could be argued that eating meat didn't come until after the fall, but rather after the flood, which was when God told Noah to do it.
Another thought; I really think Paul made some concessions against his better judgement with James in Acts 15. I think what happened was an effort to keep the perfect from becoming the enemy of the good.
in the essene gospel of peace, jesus talks about how eating meat is not natural and shouldn't be done. it's an interesting text to read.. i still eat meat, but my diet is changing at the moment. i may not eat any soon.
The so-called "Essene Gospel of Peace" is pure baloney. If you want the real stuff, get "The Complete Dead Sea Scrolls in English".
If Essenes and/or Qumran were vegetarian, it was only because they didn't believe the Temple Establishment could slaughter livestock in a state of Divine Approval. In other words, vegetarianism was a vegan means to a kosher end.
Hey Uzi, long time no talk. Got a question for you. What do you think of the idea of Paul as a preacher of Noahide law? After all he is the preacher to the gentils.
The problem with that is that Paul completely disregarded James' ruling in Acts 15 and taught people to eat whatever they found in the meat-market, which would include meat with the blood in it. James' ruling was completely in line with the conditions of consumption of meat under the Noachic covenant and with the opinions of the Dead Sea Scrolls community. Paul's advice was completely in line with Roman disregard for Torah.
howdy AOE good to hear from you. I Think there is something to be said for Messianic age ideas and vegitarianism. I look forward to seeing where your path leads you.
less meat eating won't help. Stop eating meat if what you say is true! otherwise
Romans 14:20
For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed [are] pure; but [it is] evil for that man who eateth with offence.

Good to see your watching my videos. You know I think there is a theory that the holy nature of Stella Vs. was totally left out of Genisis 1.
