@runandnotbeweary I find that the PSP sucks much more. I was actually hoping the PSP version had better graphics and all but it doesn't. Also from what I've heard it is easier. Since I don't particularly find the DS very hard I guess I wouldn't really like the PSP version that much. Sorry but IMO Nintendo won this time even though the DS has crappier hardware.

Rosa was in my front row when she was level 99 and equipped with kickass bow arrow.

Er, anyone with level 99 is quite strong, so I'm not sure why this is a reason to put Rosa in the front. ESPECIALLY if you're using a bow and not a staff. Bows are back row compatible, meaning they have no damage or hit rate penalty, and Rosa is both the party healer as well as being somewhat frail. In both the 2-3 and 3-2 form setups, there's never any point where Rosa needs to be in the front. Kain for that matter should usually be in the back too, since Jump ignores Row.

In my opinion, Mom Bomb is harder than Zeromus! Once you steal the Dark Matter from him, he can't do anything significant to you as long as you have Shell up constantly.

Once you use the Crystal on Zeromus to make him change to his true form, use Edge's steal ability to steal an item called "Dark Matter" from him. You have a 50% chance of stealing it. The Dark Matter is used to summon a battle with the 2 bonus bosses in the New Game+. As an added benefit, he can't use his Big Bang attack once he's lost it.

After you've killed the antlion, first head back to Kaipo. After the cutscene with Andrew you can find an Item Lore there. Then head east, towards the mountains. You can't see an entrance or whatsoever, but you can actually climb the mountains there. Good luck.

Anyways, just some tips for this battle which could have been used:

When the explosion is counting down make Edward hide so that if your healers die you can use his salve ability for heals.

Rosa didn't die in this vid (she might sometimes) but its really handy to have her on standby while waiting for the explosion so you can heal everyone left alive and so that no one has to die unnecesarily.

This way you get exp for probably all characters.

You get hit so low when the mom bomb explodes. For me Cecil and Yang get hit like 800 and the rest are 400. When i use defend only Yang an Cecil survive with like 4 HP.

I won't rest till i get that dam mom bomb down! lol

At 4:50, I have a good stradegy for you. When the countdown reaches 2, have everyone but Edward defend. Stay on Edward's turn, and on the 1, use hide. Once he comes back, salve a phoinex down and have Rosa and Rydia use cure on everyone.

I wouldn't reccommend a Fire and Ice Claws combo, you'll be fighting lots of elemental creatures soon.I guess you're somewhere near the [[SPOILERS]] part where the Leviathan eats the boat. So if you are fighting an e creature, he WILL take Weakness damage from tghe Fire, but the Ice Claw will heal him. I'd reccommend you to equip him with the Cata and or Hell Claws ASAP.

all u need 2 do is make yang focus first then brace the entire battle until the boss explodes cuz It really doesn't matter what happens with everyone else they all die anyways. whoever did this did way to much and wasted too many items and time. u might even wanna power up cecil to make things go faster but thats about it. Rosa died right away beacuse you should always put the weak characters in the back. (better for her arrows too) This did help. Mostly because I learned that the defend command does work. I don't remember it in the other versions of FFIV. Once I realized that I beat him in two mins. :)
