This actually was a decent game on NES, aside from a few technical issues like the collision detection (and it's rather lame that you have a knife to fight with).

Unlike the Super NES version, the NES version of Hook was produced in the United Kingdom by Ocean Software, Ltd., which was based in Manchester.

Yep Dont buy the Gameboy version which is a port of this. Its Rubbish and Im going to have a job trading it in or selling it. I blame one old magazine giving it 88% and some other you tuber saying it was actually good. It isnt!

The music is way more awesome, no silly noises, everything in one HUD (Lives, health, fairy dust, objective and a thing I can't make out...) and better hit detection.

SNES is shit compared to this. This one's kind of fun, but repetitive as hell.
