Then simply knowing that people who answer an advertisement for people talking to the dead that most likely they have a connection to someone who recently passed away or have some unresolved feelings for someone who passed away. Like you said, it's more about specific statements that apply for most people who have lost someone/unresolved feelings.

The probability of two people having the same brithday in a room of 30 people is about 70% in a room of 57 people the probobility is 99% If you change birthday to death day--it must be the same. If you add aniversary or something else and all the people everyone in the room that has ever known who died--the odds are a virtual lock.
