just wondering, in most recipes they call for sugar, i have watched the video twice, he adds water, salt olive oil, the yeast, never mentions sugar, did he forget or does this recipe not call for sugar????
i wonder why he cuts things directly on the work surface... is there a type of wood that isn't ruined by this after short time? or do they just rip out the whole kitchen after shooting the show? :D
@FantoMx14 Ah, no my bad :-) I meant the ingredient after that one, at 3:10. "And I'm gonna use...", sounds like "dry G's" to me, but nobody, and I mean nobody, would ever cook a G. Let alone, a DRY G. Can you tell me what it is?
can somebody please write me what are those two types of flour he is using? I dont know them and I can´t really understand what he is saying... thank you very much! :)
You should use really ripe ones, remove the skin (put them in boiling water for a minute and the skin should come off easily) and chop them. Then put a few spoons of olive oil (be generous) in a pan and a few chopped cloves of garlic and immediately add the tomatoes. The cooking time is longer though, the tomatoes in a can are pre-cooked, but you should cook yours for at least a half an hour (they should fall apart) and add the basil closer to the end of cooking.
canned tomatoes aren't cooked, they're just packed at peak ripeness without the skins. most italians don't cook the sauce before putting it on the pizza to retain the fresh taste of the tomato
Eh.. I just made the pizza dough.. man he makes it look easy :D.. i accidently >_>.. broke one of the corners of my flour "ring"... water and yeast _everywhere!!" all over the floor and down the dishwasher.. was such a mess xD , managed to save it tho' so, just waiting an hour for it to grow :P! cool, stuff anyways x)!
@petarstankovic91 semolina flour is a grind of a wheat called durum. its usually slightly yellow in colour and coarser in texture but not as yellow or coarse as cornmeal.
ps se discute el werito, apesar de los ingredientes q para mi en lo personal parecen un poco extraños... pinche wero, podrias usar ingredientes que pueda comprar en el puto super???
tnx for sharing the English version, and he just likes to hurry it to show us it is extremely easy to make, and can be ready in matter of minutes. And as he says, the whole tomatoes thicken the sauce. Besides all this, its a show, he makes it interesting :D
I don't understand, why he is so in a hurry with the sauce, when anyway he has to wait for the dough? This sauce would get a much better taste if he'd cook it the italian way. Other question, why not to use a small tin of concentrat instead of three tins of tomatoes, which at the end anyway he put through the sieve?
@Gitarre888 Da hast du recht, die englische Version ist besser. Ist nur Gewöhnungssache, und teilweise werden in der deutschen irgendwelche Sachen synchronisiert, die er im Original nie gesagt hat :D
I made the bread dough exactly like this once for a pizza, and afterwords storing the leftover dough in a Ziploc . When my dad wanted to use it, the whole thing swelled so much the Ziploc bag nearly Exploded.
