@cicirunner Chris L would be an amazing triathlete if he could run. It's funny but I think the best triathletes are those who are better runners than the other two disciplines.
@cwinget2580 Of course he is a top-level triathlete, but being an even better runner than he is would probably make the difference between first and second place. I am speaking as a former professional cross-country skier who knows about these things.
@ImTraining4Tri Lance and Chris are a lot alike, in that way -- both can swim, both are superiour TT'ers, neither can run (Lance might actually be the better runner). It'll be interesting at Kona, as Chris already knows he can't run (and will therefore want to stay in the TV cameras with Lance on the bike); and Lance will be simply looking for a 10 minute lead off the bike (and aim to nurse home with a 2:50 marathon and an IM win -- but I do think that is doubtful for him).
@ImTraining4Tri Yeah. It's 'cause of something called 'gravity'. Plays a (much) bigger part in the run leg, than the other two disciplines. Nothing holding you up on the run.
probably not best to be yelling at them out your window as you drive by
