Arcane Warrior is a powerful build however I dont find it interesting to play at all....I mean you are resorted to be a mere auto-attack machine despite the fact you can become almost invincible if played right. Its all about sustained abilities and auto-attack which is I dont like at all....I prefer to have a much more active role in my games.

arcane warriors are auto-atack monsters:D to bad all the defensive auras make you look  horrible..all shiny and sparkly and transparent..really bad design

I always play a mage, but never could accept the melee mentality of the Arcane Warrior (awesome Bioware invention, never saw this type of character anywhere). Finished the gamex2/expansionx3/DLCsx2 on Nightmare, and wanted so much to go for a Arcane W. build, but ended with a Blood Mage/Spirit Healer. The many RPGs I played all instilled in me the need to be far from the battlefield, casting. Sigh.

I wonder, are you a melee/tank/rogue character usually or a ranged/mage/priest?

For some reason I have the mind-set that I need to have a "main" class that I can play across any and all RPG's alas...the Arcane Warrior is unique to the dragon age series... and I'm afraid that if I take the AW spec then I may gear towards a close range fighter... yeah XD. Rather not have another class dilemma...

but on a scale of 1-10 how much fun did you find the AW spec? It's tempting to try out on a 4th play through or something XD

@tidus814 Hmm. 8? It's very flexible. I usually hit opponents pretty hard instead of just weathering all their blows passively (like what is shown here), so I get to use a fair number of spells, plus my sword/staff.

Well I'll give it a try on a later playthrough, like I said I have a problem with needing a "main" character so I need to break out of that mentality.

darn MMO's XD I find myself to be very traditional when it comes to the classes and an Arcane Warrior just seems to conflict with me...

Oh well, hopefully in a few months I'll A) be playing this on PC and B) no more annoying mentality XD

Could you make another video just explaining the skills and stat points you have, and perhaps what to focus on initially. I think a lot of people would really appreciate that. Other than that, this is godly.

I know these are older videos but I've got to ask. Would pumping dexterity to dual-wield sword/dagger totally gimp the survivability? Or is the shield just there for the stats and mana regen?

@Sorsakoski No, this character's defense isn't high enough that pumping Dex would help avoid hits. The shield (I assume you mean the one she's holding, and not the Shimmering Shield) is there for mana regen and stats, yes.

Hi! It's me again and again I'm asking advice of u'r genious tactical brain. You see my team consists out of: me, Alistair, Morrigan and Leliana. Now what armour should i give to all of them? At the moment I gave Alistair the Juggernaut armor (since he's my tank) and the robes of possession to Morrigan. Is that a good choice and what should I get for Leliana? Thanks a lot again.

@Thecursedpaladin Uh. Choice of armor depends on what you're trying to achieve. Juggernaut is good for resisting lots of stuff. Morrigan's robes are good, too, though the Reaper's Vestments from the Wonders of Thedas shop is also excellent. As for Leliana, there's a pretty good set of Rogue armor (Felon's Coat) from Wade's Emporium in Denerim. Costs about 90 sovereigns.

Hello, another question from your esteemed fanboy :p ( I am indeed since I am trying to follow you, I already have the same spells as you do with same speciaclizations). Since i don't have Return To Ostagar DLC would it be good to replace Maric's Blade and Cailan's Shield by Spellweaver and Eamon's shield? Thanks again.

Question: how did you get 20 spell slots? I only have 14 or so. People saw it's because of the defenition you put the screen on. But even if I take max screen I still only have 14. Can you please help me? (srr if the english is bad)
