Evie is full grown, almoabout 19 inches long (he's mssing a little bit of his tail at the end due to an accident). He's a New Guinea frilled dragon, but Australian frilleds get bigger
I'm not sure where you'd find one in australia. Im in the US, and found one at a local pet store. ave you tried looking for reptile breeders or anything like that? Or maybe check a reptile show
has he always been this calm? I'm getting a frill next week and she's a little skittish she's only 18 month's though, hopefully with a bit of tlc we can have her tame like the beardy :)

He was a little skittish at first, especially if he saw my beardie. But he calmed down after a few weeks, we just worked on holding him and letting him get used to us.
@utahraptr how much are frilled lizards? cause i was planning on getting a bearded dragon for like, 70 bucks, so is a frilled way more expensive? and are bearded dragns very friendly?
@luckityduckity Evie cost me $150 3 years ago, but I'm not sure how much they are now. The overall cost is more than a beardie, since you need a larger tank and have to feed primarially insects. Beardeds can switch over to mostly veggies when they're bigger, but frilleds are insectiverous and many won't eat veggies. Beardeds are friendly, Merlin loves to sleep on my lap and get pet, but you have to socialize with them daily to get them used to being held/pet.
Seeing the crickets crawling around reminds me of when I had my chinese water dragon. My cats would knock over the cricket container and there would be crickets everywhere, lol.
I agree, we had a beardie (Merlin) first so we had some experience with lizards. Frillies have a different temperment and are harder to handle than a beardie, and are not recommended for beginner lizard owners. They need a lot more space, eat inects (so prepare for lots of money on crickets/worms), are fast and like to climb/jump, etc.
He's never bitten me (except n accident trying to grab a cricket out of my hand, got part of my hand with that one but didn't break the skin). But yes, they can bite and they do have sharp teeth that can break skin and do some damage
nice lizard, the tank u have is really good i bet it cost a bomb, i had a beareded dragon for years but it died last month it was my first and only, im getting another one within a week a 2 but im not 100% sure its going to be a beareded dragon but it probably will be, i dont know much about frilled..are they good to handle? because they look like a lizard who dont like being handled much, iguana are a bit big so im pretty sure its a beareded dragon, unless i find out more about frilled
We actually built the tank for her last year - cost bit, but well worth it. Beardies are easier to handld, as frillies can be timid and require more care (bigger tank, a lot more live food, etc). And they're a lot more active - they run faster, love to jump and climb (not that my beardie doesn't) so they can be harder to hold. If you start with a baby frillie though it's easier to tame them (evie was hand raised so she loves to be pet and held, she's just very active)
I really want a bearded dragon and recently saw a frilled dragon, much like yours. I asked my parents about it and they won't allow one, or any lizard of any sort, unfortunately.
hey, from the video i cant tell how big she is.. i imagine she´s about 60cm or around there? also, could you keep a juvenile in a 90X60X45 (LXHXD) Exoterra terrarium?
He's about 48 centimeters long last time I measured him. For the tank, if it's a young frillie, that may be fine for a little while, but you'll want a bigger one - they need vertical space, so taller is better. We started Evie as a baby in a 10 gallon, then a 20 a month or so later then a 40 after 6 months, and now her huge viv (5ft tall, 4ft long, 2ft wide)
Thanks so much, im working on designing a type of closet-type enclosure..thing .. so yeah...when that time comes í´l use that. i ordered it yesterday so now just gotta wait till she arives :D
Beautiful Frilly,

Can you recommend any breeders to buy this species from?

I'm not sure of breeders. We found Evie at PetSmart. If you have any exotic pet shops, you can check there, they might know of some breeders
