I miss the days when UK Gold would show full 80s episodes of Top of the Pops it was great for someone like me born in 1983 as I loved the music as a kid but cant remember the old totp proper. Now its just Totp 2 they show which is alright but its a mismash rather than a complete show.

Yeah for a few years in the early 1990s UK Gold showed a different TOTP episode every night, and they were all from the 1980s and all were complete episodes with no editing (apart from the addition of adverts!). They must have showed every single episode from 1980 to 1989. I now wish I had recorded more clips but I just did a few dozen of my favourites. UK Gold then started repeating all the TOTP epiosdes from the 1970s. But yes someone definitely needs to repeat them all again - and soon!

I really hope they do repeat them. UK Gold seems to just repeat recent programs these days with Rome etc all being shown instead of shows that are actually old.
