I was working with DJ Quartz when we found this out (who does beta testing for NI and is on the NI forums a lot -- great guy). Some rumors say 1.0.3 corrects the issue, but their official change log does not say so. It's in final testing as I write this so we'll see. (Fingers crossed)
2 comments, I didn't originally have a second sound card in the system so I couldn't have even stumbled on this but RDP and my webcam I plugged into help troubleshoot made it apparent because they both install a secondary sound driver. You nailed it theRoyal1!!! Thanks to everyone for pitching in here.
Nice,Glad I could help...and thanks for subscribing :)
I have a MOTU 2408mk3 as my production soundcard thats what I was able to switch to.
My T3 is rock solid but the TP is still being taken for a test run....
1 thing I do wish is that when the ZERO4 is put into MIDI mode there was a way to still "cue" through it. but asa it's put into MIDI the cue capabilities go away and since the TRAKTOR disables "cue" on EXTERNAL cards I'm forced to use AUDIO/MIDI mode on the ZERO 4.
Hey guys, I have the same problem. And I use Traktor Pro with Korg Zero 6-7 days a week professionally. This is what I have to do every gig to get the timecode working.
Start up Traktor. Start my timecode. Go to setup and chage the driver to another audio driver and change it back to the korg driver and boom! timecode!
Step 1- What I discovered was that in order to get my Vinyl to just "Show Up" calibrating was to change my Sound Card choice to something else and then change it back to the Zero4.
this allows it to see the vinyl but It was saying Unknown Medium Calib.Failed.
Its cuz you got windows bra..

I don't know if you fixed it I hope you did but if not..
1. Update Firmware to 1.6 on the mixer
2. Install firewire drivers ( From korg zero 4 site )
3. download traktor adapt for zero 4 (run it before every start of traktor)
done! works perfect

While I understand the concept and why it happens I don't understand why TRAKTOR disables CUE mode on external. That makes no sense.
I should be able to listen to CUE and the ZERO4 bypasses the AUDIO functions when put into midi mode.....
I guess I'll have to get one of those damn MIDI triggers If I wanted to map more MIDI...or stick to AUDIO/MIDI mode....

So are you confirming what I previously posted or just didn't read it?
lol :)

Yes!
I just got it to work!
But I'm not going to tell you how......
J/K!

Step2- I went back to my card and change the sampling rate and VOILA!!!
TC Vinyl scratch Pro!
I'm still going to fiddle with it but I'll keep my T3 handy.
Let me know if it helps :)
