@MoveOverCasanova hahaha...you made my day and I lauged when thinking of your post while on tube today..people besid e me just got a bit frozen...lol...sorry...just tis so funny to link Chris with Clinton...
When Chris begins to speak after Tina makes a comment about a "lesbian band" the press begins to laugh again presumable in response to Chris' speaking mannerisms. Tina rolls her eyes. How crude of those in the press.
I like a lot of bands, some of them are legends indeed, but Talking Heads are in another league :D I've heard a lot of music, But Talking Heads are my favorite band of all time, and they will most likely always be. I like Tina Weymouth's voice as much as David Byrne's. And she's HOT! Too bad I'm this young :( I wish I lived in the 80'th/90th
@Danazawa There's a lot of lurid rumor about how much Tina and David hate each other. Tina has said some pretty terrible things about David. Cutting through the excess, the bottom line seems to be that yes, David thought and thinks he was the band, it owed as much to Tina's musicianship, and she couldn't forgive his seizing control of her baby (she was a bit of a control freak herself). She was vindictive, yes, and didn't accept his walking well. Paul to his John, but not as nice about it.
@ladypeinforte Well, let's be a bit honest here, I think David Byrne to an extent WAS the band. He was the persona of the band, that weird, quirky style. Of course the other musicians were good in their own right, but to be honest, you could've had anyone playing in the background. David Byrne wrote most of the lyrics to their songs and his vocals are the defining characteristic of that band. Although that was a different story when touring with their Afro Funk outfit as well as Adrian Belew.
@Dolemite91 I agree with you in spirit, Tina could never have been the star Byrne was. She had the looks and the talent but not the ability to be a personality. If you hear her in interviews, she takes uptight nerdiness to a whole new level. Byrne was uptight and nerdy but in an appealing way, at least on stage. However TH would not have been TH without Tina's bass, Byrne's solo music is OK but not as musically interesting. Yet it's true that the frontperson usually "is the band" for PR.
Wow! Tina is a beautiful, beautiful woman! I've always thought she was cute, from what I could see of her in video's but this is up close and personal!
Great video! Good to see them talking candidly about their incredible creation. I know it would be wrong to see them regroup but I'd still like to see it.
Greatest American band...? I wish they would settle their differences and reform. A nostalgia tour would be fine - new material even better. True creative genius.
David made it very clear he never wants it brought up again about getting together. The Rock and Roll hall of fame was the final performance almost everyone feels.
Yeah they are the best band.
All we can do is go see David every few years and buy his new albums every few years which are always great.
If David doesn't want to reform the band that's fine. I can think of another David who would be a fantastic replacement..... Hasselhoff.

Would love to see Talking Heads performing live with Shaun Ryder and Bez.
Maybe Bez singing "Psycho Killer" with David Byrne on maracas :)

@RitualEcho No, no one should sing a Talking Head shong but David Byrne, on penalty of death.

Dont they hate each other?
Byrne sued the other band members for performing as `The Heads' saying they were cashing in on the Talking Heads name.
I love Byrne as a performer but he seems a bit of a creep, he clearly thinks he was Talking Heads.

@Danazawa really he sued the other members? that'a a big pity... :(

@BucksStudent And the Lennon-McCartney analogy continues :) ...
In the war of the Heads, I see Byrne as Wrong but Wromantic and Tina as Right but Repulsive, as between the Cavaliers and the Puritans.
