I was THAT kind of Mom back in the early 90's. You know, the "Halloween is an evil holiday from Satan" kind of Mom. But, then I mellowed and remembered how FUN it used to be going door to door. They still do "harvest parties" around here. I'm sure Jesus approves.

@2degucitas Well haloween was originally a Celtic holiday where they'd dress up in animal skins to ward of goblins and fairies, and give food as sacrfices. Then the catholics got a hold of it and made it Saints day eve, and beggers would go from door to door begging for food, promising to pray for their dead relatives. Now it's a time to dress up and eat lots of candy, and for demons to run free possessing people and doing evil stuff, and hanging up demonic decorations, and violating pumpkins.
