Meet Dr. Facilier

You know...with the number of Disney characters popping up in the rides...Jack Sparrow in PotC, Alice in the redesigned It's a Small World....anyone else thinking that maybe the good doctor should get a tip of the hat in the Haunted Mansion? Since Madame Leota is casting spells with Tarot cards...probably have a Facilier card floating around. It is New Orleans Square after all.

Facilier is an excellent Disney villain. Probably one of their better ones. And he never would have worked in a CG film. This dude is perfect for 2D traditional animation.

Just saw this today and it was fantastic!

Although Dr. Facilier's death isn't as painful as Frollo or Scar's death, I don't think, I'd say it's the most terrifying of Disney Villain Deaths, being sucked into a Voodoo portal and all.

If ya wanna get culturally technical its because Doctor is a common title given to spiritual workers. Conjure men/hoodoo men at times are referred too as two headed doctors, a witch doctor you can say. Take the historical figure of Dr. John for example (the one before the blues singer, who borrowed his name) Dr. John has been described by some as illiterate, yet his knowledge of herbs and conjure earned him the title doctor amongst the people.
