  • You need to have access to the files on your webserver (FTP or w\e)

    Then you need to find the root of the website (where you can find a index.html or index.php file / images folder)

    Templates folder is in the root of your website called "templates" there you have to find the template your using, and this is the root of your template

  • i bought a godaddy hosting plan then installe joomla upon it . i never used an ftp client . do i need to go into my hosting account to find the root directory ?? its just i cant seem to find it when i log into joomla as an admin from the back end

  • i have created a favicon for my joomla site . can anyone tell me where to place the html code ??

    is it within my web site template under the head section ??

    + where is the root folder on joomla 1.5 and am i gonna have to search for joomla ico files and delete them before my own favicon shows up in the url bar ??

  • You need to put the favicon in the root directory of the template (replace the one in the template folder with yours)

    no need to add any html code...
