This was one of the most well written and creative pop songs of the time. It's a bit sad that many fans didn't feel that way; they wanted Siouxie and the Banshees to be like they were back in 1981 --they wanted the more "goth" Siouxie. Which of course, she was out-growing by then. I'm glad she's back and doing new material without the Creatures, which seemed a tad bit disheveled with regard to arrangement.

Ohmigod. This is possibly the BEST song ever recorded (not that familiar with Siouxsie's other hits, will have to explore).

But this creepy tune is absolutely orgasmically brilliant, esp the drum fills between 1:35-1:50 and all the backwards bits! I love backwards music. St Etienne ripped this production off for the almost-as-good "Only Love Can Break Your Heart". And I'm happy to be one of the people with no friends who likes this (according to Beavis and Butthead).
