Is he so lost in his atheism that he does not reason that if they succed in constructin the islamic center it would mean a political victory against perceptions tha blame all muslims for 9/11???

Instead of being a constant reminder as he says, it would position in public oponion the people who make that relationship as the bigots they really are, even from federal goverments perspective.

@Taryuman To be fair the host didn't want the show to be about The right to build(or not) a center, but more about the Muslim situation in the US. The Imam explained his ideas behind the Islamic Center and hopped that placing it near ground zero would help in advertising "against perceptions that blame all Muslims.." . He was surprised by the violent blowback. Later Assad call the idea stupid by pointing out the aftermath, and that the US Muslim community was not consulted for such a project.

@Mr3adi You need to be patient. I don't expect the collaborative link to have any success, I don't think anyone will show up (for various reasons). I don't have time right know, but the translation will be added to this video as closed captions. Maybe In the WE I will make a timed transcript ready on UniversalSubtitles, then the translation can really begin. In brief, wait a a few weeks.
