Outstanding... and always worth more than one view, id really love to see one with a cam looking out thru the main windows same for say the flying sub, that would be awesome
I was a young designer for the DDG-51 lead vessel program in the 80s. I grew up watching the Seaview. Your effort was one that really was enjoyable to watch. Its refreshing to see non-cg work with models.Your effort looks every bit as good as the movie models. Well done!
Paul no way I have enough boats. Yes you heard it right. Enough boats. Currently building from scratch as a kit to be a 66 inch Enterprise from the original TV show.
That shit cray

great job. only thing I'd change is the bow. I'm a fan of the earlier 8 window version from season 1.

That compartment is difficult to make water tight and get a camera in and out.

If the inside is air tight then you can place a small cam just inside the windows

Thanks so much for the kind words. I do have a cam that's water proof but it won't fit in there. Or will it? Hmmm.....

Two props inside the nacelles. About 5-6 grand total with the build. The hull kit empty is around 1500.

Beautiful job Steve. Now, all you need is a 51 1/2" long, 8 window Movie Seaview as a companion.......
