  • w0w Havent seen this since I was like 6!!

  • I remeber my uncle saw this cartoon when he was a baby

  • At the age of 5-6 years, only one intro scared me to tears. Even now, it looks horrible.

  • i don't remember this maybe because i was born in 1994

  • OK it's official Beetlejuice and E rated 80s comedy just doesn't add up...

  • Christmas Carolers on a Tilt-O-Whirl FTW!!!

  • Is the music by Danny Elfman? Cause I only knew the Movie, I didn't know there was a cartoon of it, and the theme music sounds like Danny Elfman's character.

  • @blackmii Yes, it is Danny Elfman.

  • I can not describe in words how much I prefer the original opening theme from the actual movie. :/

  • What would happen if the animated Joker, Beetlejuice, and the Mask teamed up.

    MINDFUCK CENTRAL!!!

  • @culchiecorner amen, dude!! XD then add a little Freakazoid and rick roll and then the world would explode!! O_O X)

  • HahahaHAHAHAHAHAHMWHAHMEMHAMEHMAHMAHENMAHAMAHAHAMAHAAHAHAHAH!!!!! ....wait, what?

  • Now that's a funky beat.

  • This is the man responsible for me becoming the psycho I am today...

  • cartoons aren't what they used to be

  • @WeirdAl45231 Oh, there's no shortage of Nightmare Fuel in modern ones. If you spend time at TV Tropes, you'll probably be well aware of just how much Nightmare Fuel has been found in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.

  • Ma nigga. Bettlejuice is a real oldschool pimp.

  • i love his mad laugh.

  • Motherfuckin' Danny Elfman - YES.

  • its the juice :P

  • Lydia's expression at 0:28 is priceless. The level of attention the creators put into this is amazing.

  • I like the version when he holds a rose and falls down in the end XD

  • Was the animated series created by Tim Burton like the live action movie?

  • @EQCTvideos According to Wikipedia, yeah.

  • @ssokolow Thanks! Have you seen my Tim Burton animations? Well... actually they're not animations. They're just drawings. But if you could take a look at them, I'd like to know your opinion. They'er on You Tube!

  • @EQCTvideos Unfortunately, I'm too much of a perfectionist and too little an artist to say anything meaningful about them.

I can, however, suggest that if you like Clocks, you'll probably want to listen to the version by 12 Girls Band. (There's a copy at ?v=VXqSPJpuDBM )

  • @ssokolow I'm confused. Are you saying you didn't like the pictures? Or you didn't like the song? Or did you think it wasn't a very good combination? If so, I can replace that song. I know a few that might go better with it.

  • @EQCTvideos I said that I didn't like the pictures because I'm too big a perfectionist and because I'm more a programmer than an artist, I can't give you any meaningful advice on how to improve. (Sorry)

I like the song, but I like the 12 Girls Band version even more, so I offered it to you in case you like it.

  • @ssokolow Alright, sorry if I bothered you with my questions. It was nice chatting with you.

  • @EQCTvideos Nah, the movie was created before this cartoon and although Beetlejuice is less evil than he was in the movie (he tried to force Lydia to marry him so he could wreak havoc on Earth) he's still funny.

  • I always loved it when it went "la la la la la la la la!"

  • Man, I remember this show from when i was little, it gave me freakin' nightmares >_< Or maybe that was the live action version. . ?

  • Doesnt muito bom

  • I remember these days, back when you could make a cartoon out of anything and enough thought and quality animation would go into it to make it good... I'm depressed for the children now...

  • ...And then TV got shitty and Hannah Montana and all that came about.

I want Beetlejuice, The Real Ghostbusters, and Animaniacs back, dammit. =3=

  • wasn't that adam and barbara maitland

  • The cartoon was shit.

  • Maybe, all we have to do is say the "B" word 3xs and we've got this kick ass cartoon back on TV.

  • @mightykamina2009 doesn't work, I, uh, already tried......

  • Doesn't it say at the start that this was made by someone else for someone else?

  • @manaburn Unless using special software and formats, video files are like JPEG images and every load-save cycle reduces the quality.

Technically, a DVD is a "good encode" of the frame-by-frame animation and even some DVDs are terrible.

I went straight from the best copy I could find, cut it down to the intro carefully, and also tuned the settings to be as friendly to YouTube's re-encoding process as possible. For most uploaders, that's two or three poorly-planned phases right there.

  • @ssokolow You barely responded to what I said. Once again, why does it say that at the start that the clip was made by someone else? Are you taking credit for work that isn't yours?

  • @manaburn I thought I did respond. My mistake.

No, I'm not taking credit for work that isn't mine. At the time I uploaded this, I hadn't been able to find any way to buy a DVD box set where I live, so I found a good encode online, left the ripping group's credits intact, and processed it in such a way that it would remain a good encode when put up on YouTube as only an intro.

  • Oh my god where have all the quality cartoons gone?

  • 0:28 LA la la la LA la la la

  • Yeah, this cartoon had a terrible plot, but it was also fun to watch, so....

  • Don't know if anyone else notices, but the short bass playing at 00:43 is like "we know what you want"... Too bad it's not in the instrumental version without the cartoon sound effects.

  • Back when cartoons were freaking shweet......

  • ahhh, thank you SO much for not half-assing it, and actually getting a good quality video up.

  • In the movie Beetlejuice wanted to marry an under aged and living Lydia also he was the fucking bad guy. Oh those wacky 80's!!!

  • i watched this cartoon before i even knew about the movie...I love the skeleton news guy too, because he is all weird claymation looking

  • Ah I love it. Hey ssokolow are you going to upload more cartton intros, i noticed you havent in a long time.

  • @eb88408 Not sure. I generally only upload intros for things which don't already have good encodes available, I have to have access to a good copy, and I have to enough time away from my university coursework to have time to do it. That's a tricky combination to satisfy.

  • I will kiss anyone that can laugh exactly like that, no matter how disgusting or ugly they may appear to be.

  • @Nathalorial sorry no you cant have my boyfriend XD (he acts just like beetlejuice it aint funny)

  • I remember this show!!! OMG memories..

  • check it out bitchs! Billion Dollar movie...ready for this?................ Ghost Busters vs. Beetlejuice!!! out summer 2013

  • @snailmaze69 Proof or it isn't happening.

  • @Nathalorial need capital

  • this is one of the coolest intros ever....its like bein on an acid trip without the acid xD

  • nigel 2red wuz fere

  • Yet AGAIN, wtf is wrong with this intro? "Beetlejuice, beetlejuice, BEETLEJUICE!!!" is supposed to be the first thing in the intro.

  • @Rayvn7 You're probably thinking of the other intro. There's two of them.

  • weirdest cartoon ever

  • was this before or after the tim burton movie

  • @chroylikesfish

After the Tim Burton movie. The movie came out in 1988 and the TV series came out in 1989.

  • @lifebeyondtech theya re fking rubbish , i remember Rocko's modern life anothe great toon and MANY more i do not wish to hurt myself by remembering their greatness

  • @trojanrunner87 The Maitlands are secondary characters, really. Actually, they wanted to make a Beetlejuice sequel in which Beetlejuice and the Deetzes moved someplace else, but no Maitlands. It was to be a surf movie, if I recall correctly. I'm not sure whether I should feel sorry they didn't make it or not. Beetlejuice is just too unique.

  • Downright great. I love how he says "It's show time!":

  • I really wish i could laugh like beetlejuice

  • They actually play this at the Party City I work at.

    :D

But I can't find an MP3 for this (with just the music and no sound fx) so I can get it on my iPod and it's pissin me off.

    >:(

Help me find it. If you can, that is.

  • I love the movie and I used to watch this cartoon every day after school!

  • Fuck!! these were the times when we didn't drink, we didn't smoke, we didn't fuck, we didn't had to worry about a job and a career... what happened to us?? Where is that innocency nowdays???

  • @juanm35mm

    Busy watching Spongebob.

  • @juanm35mm I'd keep the fucking, just keep the job part

  • @juanm35mm We got all fucked up by shows like this haha. I remember this show being a step away from an acid trip.

  • @juanm35mm yeah i would love to be perpetually unaware of the vast scope of human emotion available to adults. Also innocency isn't a word. The little red squiggly line that appeared under it should have told you that.

  • @juanm35mm

In my trunk, begging that she wont tell her mum.

  • @juanm35mm U said it all!

  • @juanm35mm, Bush was elected.

  • @juanm35mm This comment made me sad.

  • @juanm35mm I agree with you! Life was simple before we grew up! :(

  • I thought Betelgeuse [Beetlejuice's Spelling] didn't like Lydia?

  • @MrMattwaffle The star and the character are different entities and their names are spelled differently. As for liking Lydia, the cartoon series is only inspired by the movie, not continuing it.

  • @ssokolow

Actually in the movie, the character's name is spelled Betegeuse just like the star despite the spelling in the film's title.

  • @StewartofGondor Now that you mention it, I remember that. That's why the main characters didn't know how to pronounce it.

  • this show was creepy but also zany. my grandma hated it i thought it's hilarious. best part doomy the jekyl n' hyde styled car

  • @MrMattwaffle To be fair, Betelgeuse didn't hate Lydia either. He just wanted to marry her for his own ends. He'd have married anyone, and he was angry that he was stopped.

  • @MrMattwaffle this is just a cartoon lol.

  • @MrMattwaffle

Why wouldn't he like her? She's freakin' cute, both in the movie and out. Don't you remember he tried to marry her?

    >_<

  • @BLACKIESBOY Yeah,I mixed them up.Thanks for pointing that out.

  • @lifebeyondtech Indeed.

  • Hot damn I remember this show, it was so awesome.

    Loved the theme song too.

  • @lifebeyondtech Tell me about it!

  • my personal favorite character was Doomie, the car. fitting, cause he was rare, and i am a huge gearhead.

  • @lifebeyondtech Yeah...The cartoons these days are a sad excuse for entertainment...Cartoons like BeetleJuice and Freakazoid were and stil are the greatest thing that ever happened.

  • I still refrain from saying his name three times in the same sentence. For fear that he may show. Srsly.

  • @vidviewer401 beetlejuice, beetlejuice, beetlejuice.

  • i was 1 when i started watching this show, and i loved it. i miss it tho:(

  • The Neitherworld summoning scene is so epic. especially when the curtain tears, and the portraits are freaking out. It's like the world's way of showing all hell breaking loose.

  • this may sorta explain my love of evil or demented carnivals and circus'

  • Whoa! I never watched this as a kid, but if I hadm I'd probably be even more fucked up than I am now from watching tons of Courage the Cowardly Dog. XD

  • I can't really remember, did this make it onto the NC's mind fuck list? If not, it definately belongs up there O.o

  • I think I saw Squidward at 0:44

  • luv dis show

  • Seems like a rather creepy show :S

  • i miss Cartoon Network :(..i said Cartoon Network not CN..CN is that wack shit that started back in 2004 when Toonami was replaced my Miguzi and moved to saturday nights..Toonami ended 2 years ago back in 08...but the real Toonami ended 6 years ago back in 2004..back when they had cool cartoons not like bo bo bo or the prince of tennis

  • Ladies and gentlemen... welcome to my childhood.

  • This was my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE cartoon growing up. I watched this FAITHFULLY!!!

  • i swear, shows like this, ahhh! real monsters, and all the other amazing and creepy shows were designed for kids that would end up goth in the future. LOVE IT!

  • How epic would it be if this had a crossover with Billy and Mandy?

  • The beetlejuice movie is not for kids but the cartoon is..well if the kids don't piss themselves at the opening.

  • This show had style. I wish cartoons were still even half this good.

  • have these cartoons come out on dvd yet.

  • @jizzterio850 Most of the shows like this when we were kids late 80s-early 90s have not come out on dvd yet and they have no plans too.

  • is it me...or does Beetlejuice sorta look like a Good Guy doll? o_o

  • Beetlejuice! :3

  • Ah...memories...

  • As odd as it was, I liked this show as a kid, even though most of the people I knew were grossed out by it.

  • it's hard to believe Lydia and Beetlejuice are friends in theis

  • I remember when i was a kid. i was 6 or seven and this show came on in germany quite early so i watched that and then i was shit scared of the dark and slept with the light on from then hahahaha

  • the characters look a bit retarded but thats because i didn't even kno there was a cartoon until watching one of the nostalgia critic's videos. My favorite part was when he goes "ITS SHOW TIME!"

  • lol squee I totally forgot there was a cartoon xDDD I recently started watching the movie again. A lot has changed since the 80's. They called that PG xDDD I'll have to start watching this again

  • CLASSIC! I remember this when I was young. That was a fun cartoon to watch. 90s are the best.

  • Finally a quality beetlejuce intro!!! Thanks for the effort.

  • It's all the stuff like this that made all the kids who were born between '85 and '95 all weird and fked up. LOL I love it.

  • @AprilGhoul This, Batman TAS, Courage the Cowardly Dog.

Those were the days (of darkness)

  • @AprilGhoul I was born in the year 1985.

  • @AprilGhoul You're right! I'm from 1991 lol!

  • i miss this show i used to have the pjs ofbeetle juice they just dont show cartoons like this anymore well somuch for quality right

  • I dream of going to work for Disney to make Jack Skellington cartoons as a classic-come-back for Disney and this cartoon intro is what inspired my idea: the music, the dark look, the characters. I really wish to make Jack Skellington cartoons for Disney Channel.

  • This is the only thing I could remember from the show sadly.

  • i remember ceratin parts of different eps one had beetlejuice convince bald dead ppl that they had a full head of hair thanks to him and another had lydias rival go to a party that Lydia plannd

  • I never could watch this cartoon growing up, my mom was such a buzzkil,I saw the movie though Beetlejuice played by Michael Keaton and the Chick was played by Winona Ryder.

  • i was afraid of this when i was 5

  • lol used to love this show

  • beetlejuice was the best. BEETLEJUICE 4 PRESIDENT ^^

  • I've seen lately that a good number of people consider Tim Burton over-rated, but the more I realize the extent of the projects he's been involved in, the more I care to disagree.

To an extent, the guy really defined a generation of mutating Halloween worlds set in the afterlife.

He gave us the fullest extent of Halloween.

I like his stuff. I've seen it reflected on many of the things I create, aesthetically speaking.

It may not have much philosophical depth, but it's constant in it's themes.

  • I loved this show when I was little! It was both mine and my parents favortie cartoon!

  • i used to love this show when i was a kid. i still like beetlejuice he was cool...

  • ah the memories

  • You know, I never saw the original movie. I may need to get that ASAP. This looks funny XD

  • This is great! Now all you need to do is upload the epic second intro. :)

  • good times :)

  • wow it looks like a cool cartoon so bad it didin't exsist in my country :(

  • you can watch it on youtube ;), most of the episodes are here.

  • usa?

  • nope, that's why =S

  • oh man i watched this so many times because i had it on videocassete,it's epic.

I also love the adams family

  • ah, back when cartoons were actually worth watching. This and freakazoid anyday!

  • @lockbwithu

    And Earthworm Jim?

  • @Jesus00000000000 Holy shit I remember that cartoon. Literally messing around seeing which cartoons I can remember but after seeing your comment I'm sure I'll have to give up because it seems some will have slipped away. Man saturday mornings rocked.

  • Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice !!!

  • i remember seeing this show, don't remember the episodes all too well though

  • Mind fck

    Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, BEETLEJUICE!!!!!!

    IT'S SHOWTIME!!!!!! ^_^

  • That right? Hmm. :/

  • The beginning where he rises from the grave is better, but the rest of this one is better because a giant worm mouth bites his freakin head off.Of course he just grows it back and pawns them.
