I think he's paying his dues now, and very well at that. Bobby was 13 when this was recorded. Try to find another 13 year old even close to his playing ability.  There are many that will never play the slide as well as he does now.

As I said the guitar is great, especially for a guy of your age, but now you've mastered the physical side of it (which is the hard bit), now you need to get right into the spirit of the song and try and recreate and convey the feelings and emotions of the song. You obviously know the song inside out, so instead of thinking about the notes, and each individual lick, think about the solo as a whole and how you can make it all flow sweetly, and make the hairs stand up on peoples necks.

No problem mate, I'm glad you found it useful, I'm 20 now and I've been playing music all my life, first piano then guitar, and I've only just found out this is where I have been going wrong. Even with piano, I was just playing the notes, and inside I felt nothing. But now I get so much more enjoyment out of playing, it's like a natural high, and it's a much better high than any drug, and a lot better for you aswell. The more you take, the better you get!

Hey good job dude, that was sick. How long have you been playing? You could do with a new singer though, that guy is tone deaf, hasn't got a very good singing voice, and shouts all over the solo. If I was you I'd either get myself a new singer, or at least get that guy to take some vocal lessons, also don't get me wrong, the guitar is great, but there are a few things you could work on. I haven't got many characters left so i''ll start a new comment...

Honestly, you're ok. For your age I guess you could be great. But you should start playing the rhythm before you go into the solo. You go from slide, to nothing but the backing track, and that kinda kills it. Sounds great, but theres nothing like a real band behind ya instead of a backing track.

troythebassplayer is right, u should get a skynyrd tribute band together, i would love to play guitar with u in that band, we don't really live that far away i live 30 miles out of buffalo,ny. and where u live is right on the other end of the state so, when i'm able to drive (if my parents ever let me) i come to where u live and stay for a week, maybe i can come down over the summer for a weekend, me and u would sound great together....... the classic fender/gibson style of lynyrd skynyrd.
