  • John Smith! You weren't replaced. Phew! It all a dream.

  • As cool as it is that Disney made a movie about Native American's but people need to know that were not Indians, were Native Americans. Indians are from India. Mistake made by Christopher Columbus because his voyage was to India but got lost and fluked out.

  • 1:51 I've seen that statue. I live in VA, so I've been to Jamestown twice. When I saw it, it was more green looking. (It's copper.) The tour guide said the statue fades from the weather, but the hands stay shiny because people touch them and the oil from their hands keeps them shiny.

It's just so cool for me to have a Disney film set in my home state. To watch this special and see all the things I've seen with my own eyes and to think Disney people were there.... it's so exciting for me!

  • Favourite disney moviee <3

  • Irene Bedard is so pretty. *_*

  • Funny that it mentions Thomas, but no clip of Christian Bale. It's a small role, yes, but a pivotal one.

  • @verycoolchicka well fuck you to then! and btw thats not an offer

  • where can i find pocahontas 2 on youtube? all i c is click this url stuff.

  • @heide97twilight have you found it? i downloaded it from youtube awhile ago.

  • @poptartdom no. can u send me a link?

  • @heide97twilight i think it's been taken down. i know i downloaded it before cuz i still have it on my computer but i cant find it on youtube anymore. watch it for free on megavideo. just google "pocahontas 2 megavideo." the first link that came up for me worked (no surveys or any other bullshit required).

  • @heide97twilight ah i found the youtube link and it turns out i was right, it was removed due to copyright issues. i was able to download it while it was still available. dont worry though you'll be able to find it on the internet >.>

  • this is my fav. disney movie ever

  • Wasn't this on the VHS and Laserdisc Collector's Edition Box set besides appearing on the 10th Anniversary DVD.

  • "larger than life." YOU HEAR THAT DISNEY STUDIO OF 2011????? "DISNEY ANIMATION HAS ALWAYS BEEN LARGER THAN LIFE." HELL YEAH. NOW LIVE UP TO IT.

  • I could listen to her read the phone book and never get tired of hearing her beautiful voice.

  • thank you very much for having posted these videos!

  • pocahontas was hot! lol. why do they always make the disney girls so sexy and hot?

  • @alexander3062 idk pervert isnt it weird that ur jacking off to female cartoons?

  • Beautiful movie.

  • gosh, I loved this movie so much as a child. The historical inaccuracies, thank god for them since this is a Disney movie, made it so much better. I just really hated the ending. Disney is notorious for happy endings. John Rolfe is a pansy. She should have gone with John Smith. :)

    Thanks for uploading this!

  • the film is fantasic because it has songs wriiten by Alan menken this film is really sad.But I didn't like tangled it was sadish but I did'nt like it

  • I actually met her at the Tuba City Fair a couple years ago!!! :D

  • lol they don't even bother to credit cbale

  • it's real life Pocahontas!!! the woman at the begining!!!

  • This film reminds me a lot of THE LITTLE MERMAID.

  • So uh... I live about an hour away from Jamestown, VA. I've never seen any mountains. Have these people ever even seen a *picture* of coastal Virginia?

  • I was just wondering, why is the voice of Pocahontas not mentioned? Totally wasn't expecting it to be the presenter! Does that make me dense? :P

  • @whoknows2007 that was her the host did the speaking voice

  • @APRIL62318 I know, I said that in the comment, 'wasn't expecting it to be the presenter' lol.

  • Pre-nutjob Mel Gibson

  • Comment removed

  • The girl from the show Pretty Little Liars, I believe her real name is Shay Mitchell, looks like the real-life version of the animated Pocahontas!

  • I love this movie and other Disney classics but one thing gets me really annoyed. Pocahontas married John ROLFE! Not smith! John Smith was 50 years old. Rolfe is the young one! Love you Disney, though!

  • @petlover875 If you watch the second movie, they try and correct it by having her get with John Rolfe in the end. :P

  • @Lyexsah LOL that's so funny!

  • @petlover875 I'm guessing you haven't seen the sequel. But I agree. I've always preferred John Rolfe over Smith, even though he can be a bit of a whiny little *bleep!* at times XD

  • Even thou ppl argue that it was inaccurate, they still did an amazing job with the movie and with creating Pocahontas

  • I think that in all disney movies they try to make the actors look like their characters .

  • @labrowneyesz They actually model there characters after the actors.

  • @labrowneyesz they do:) the actors body language is always in the movie^^

  • @labrowneyesz u mean they try to make the characters look like the actors

  • @labrowneyesz they make the characters look like the actors. First the actors are chosen and the voices recorded before they begin with everything else, animation etc.

  • @labrowneyesz It also helps when the actors give the animators an idea of what the character should look like and som mannerisms (like James Earl Jones as Mufasa) are woven into the animation.

  • Even Russell Means says " the truth is being told here"

FACT: the Truth is that she WAS ONLY 10 years Old.

and the SMITH was committing STATUTORY RAPE.

If that incident was happening today, He'd be in the SLAMMER!!!

Damned Child Molester!! Wasn't Smith's middle name "Chester"?

  • @Mapanatl Back then it wasn't statutory. It was perfectly normal for a 14 year old girl to be married to a 40 year old man. I'm not saying it's right, but it was different times.

  • 7:02

  • 7:01

  • i hate this movie if i think about it while watching it. Like....there are no 500ft cliffs in coastal Virginia. gold was not discovered until much later. There are no fucking moose in coastal Virginia. The leading lady herself was only twelve when she first met John Smith. John Smith was not blond and blue eyes. They did not fall in love. *continues ranting* but the movie is still somewhat enjoyable....if you ignore everything else thats wrong with it.

  • she looks exactly like pocahontas:)

  • I thought John Smith was so hot when I was little. Still kinda do♥

  • @KCOLORAD i thought he was hot when i was 8 years old. EIGHT F'ING YEARS OLD.

  • @KCOLORAD to bad he's voiced by Mel Gibson.

  • The lady who voices Pocahontas is so pretty!

  • @emcee2456 yeah she is

  • And silly rediculous moments too.

  • So much research that they found out there was cute lifull animals in it.

  • i have this on my 10th anniversary edition DVD :D I watch it all the time <3

  • Wow Pocahontas' voice actress sure is beautiful ^^

  • What a beautiful culture :)

  • Pocahontas and Mulan tie for my all-time favourite Disney film! Can't choose.

  • A lot of people criticize this movie for being historically inaccurate, completely missing the point that it's based on the LEGEND of Pocahontas and John Smith's romance, which has been around for hundreds of years.

  • she's so pretyyyyyyy~

  • i love alan menken!He's legend,a genius!

  • the voice for pocahontas kinda even looks like her :O

  • love love love love LOVE Steven Schwarts. He is the MAN!!!!!! He never lets his fans down, creating some of the greatest songs ever written for film.

  • its been my dream to meet irene bedard... ive always wanted to meet her.. hopefully one day i can... i greatly admire her and am working on mirroring her acting techniques... shes my favourite actress in the whole world!!

  • I think I saw this on ABC back in '95.

  • @franzchick66 I vaugle remember watching it way back when too

  • I love the first on and to me it's the only one that exsist this amazing work and love john smith and pocahontas have can't just be thrown away. my favourite disney movie ever i just wish they coud have ended together.

  • I disliked what they did with the second movie.

We all know Disney always change the original stories... Pocahontas and John Smith weren't supposed to fall in love, since she was a little girl and he was an adult. So, Disney changed that and created a great love story.

But then, they just destroyed everything with this other guy I don't remember the name. They tried to make it closer to the real original story... I get that. But they also stamped on the beauty of the first movie.

  • Ah, passion and prejudice! Two of my favorite things!

  • Irene Bedard<3 met her today, amazing kind person.

  • Pocahontas looks like Nani from Lilo & Stitch.

  • mel gibbson ;) <3 haha

i hated the second movie! john smith should of been with pocahontas!!

but no... she chooses the OTHER john :/

  • Love her jacket.

Pocahontas is my altime favourite Disney movie. Thank you for sharing this!

  • This movie is so aesthetically breathtaking with gluttonous amounts of beautiful music to match. This is my first favorite Disney movie, tied with the Little Mermaid.

  • According to my English teacher,we're not allowed to watch this in school

  • cool

  • Russell Means looks just like Chief Powhatan.

  • PEOPLE COME ON! Didn't you ever understand that those classics are unique? There's only 1 Pocahontas, 1 Lion King, 1 Hunchback of Notre Dame, 1 Beauty and the Beast and no sequels. This is nothing but merchandising hungry so stop watching those booshits!

  • i was dissapointed in pocahontas 2...

it seems like what she and John Smith had been through in 1 was all put to waste...

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, you put so succinctly into words precisely how I felt about Pocahontas 2!

I'd been a LOT wordier in my previous comments, but I just had to say that although the ending of the first movie was poignant, the second film just tossed the whole relationship between Pocahontas and John Smith down the drain. I try to forget it was ever made...

  • @beaumarchamp well... they had to stick to History, as you know Pocahontas is a real character life, also is John Smith and the John (i don'y remember his last name) from the second movie. Pocahontas really married John 2 not John Smith

  • @mafeshita168 "John 2"s name is John Rolfe if you'd still like to know :)

  • @beaumarchamp I know, right?! And you could tell they were doing some ham-fisted course-correcting...why even bother? We know that "Pocahontas" is not the real story of Pocahontas! I've always regarded it as akin to Cinderella or Snow White - - it's fiction, with very general parallels to the real world. So why not continue in that vein? Disney slipped up, as far as John S.'s character was concerned. He did a complete 180, and all for the purpose of making John R look good in comparison. Cheap.

  • @beaumarchamp The reason for that is based on what really happened. When Pocahontas actually knew John Smith, she was only about 10 years old. Years later, she married John Rolfe.

  • @beaumarchamp Yea, but that's what really happened in history.

  • @beaumarchamp Disney sequals are terrible most of the time (mulan 2, THe Jungle Book 2, Brother Bear 2....)

  • @beaumarchamp I just pretend most of the sequels are non-canon, because , in my mind they're not canon at all. Especially Pocahontas 2.

  • @beaumarchamp i was disappointed with the first one, and every movie ever made about her because of the lies about her and john smith. they were never romantically involved. because of him her true story has been overlooked in favor of john smith's lies.

  • @beaumarchamp tho it is what happened.. they cant really "change" history for the benefit of a movie.

  • @beaumarchamp I felt the same, but they tried to stick with real history as well as creating another story :P

  • @beaumarchamp

Although the sequal was far inferior to the first movie (in my opinion), I don't think because she found a new love interest meant what she and John experianced from the precending events was a waste. They both learned from one another. John to not judge what he doesn't know and be more open minded, Pocahontas to be more independent and follow her heart despite what naysayers may squwak. And apart of what they learned not only benefited themselves, though everyone around them.

  • @beaumarchamp Shouldn't be disappointed. It was a made for video movie and Disney assigns their B team writers, artists and songwriters.

  • @beaumarchamp then is you dont like it then go back in time and change history becaase the reason she married the other dude in pochhantas 2 is becase thats who she really did marry in real life sherlock

  • anyway...:) one of the best disney movies!!

  • Disney has long animated the voice actors playing the lead - it goes back to Disney's 50's movies. Kathryn Beaumont was Alice, Sherri Stoner modeled for both Ariel and Belle and recently Anika Noni Rose was animated as Tiana in Princess & the Frog.

  • Hmmm. what pencil is he using Graphite?

  • WOW!! she looks like pocahontas!!

  • Yeah, Disney has always created their princesses so that they resemble their voice actresses. It's pretty cool, actually.

  • It's so interesting, the voice actor of Pocahontas looks like the character herself!

  • I wanna learn more about Pocahontas!! :D

  • Pocahontas ROCKS!

  • I think they showed this on TV around the time the movie was out. Thanks for uploading.

  • Thank you! ;)

  • "little mischief" ;o)

  • What does Pocahontas mean?

    Little ... ?

    I couldn't hear what she said :(

  • little mischief

    :)

  • i think pocahontas means '' wind spirit''

  • was this on a dvd ?

  • Yep it's a DVD extra from the 10th anniversary edition.

  • she looks like pccahontas!!!

  • she's pretty she looks exact like pocahontas my favorite disney princess even through u don't see her

  • yeah shes the model for her as well as the voice actor

  • glen keane was right pocahontas is diffrent than the other disney girls by the way Alan Menken needs another long term partner like he had with the late Howard Ashman

  • oh, she is much more beautiful then the woman who does the swedish Pocahontas voice. But I like the swedish womans voice much more, even yhough she doesn't look like Pocahontas at all

  • This is the lady that does the voice of Pocohantas. She's so pretty

  • @eccentricdiamond49 She even looks just like Pocahontas except she's not dressed like Pocahontas.

  • @andrewcolinwilson That often happens in animated movies. The animators often take the actor's features on purpos and add them into the character design (if apropriate- for example, the actor that played Jafar in Aladdin looked nothing like the character) Even in the Lion King, the animators took some of Jonathan Taylor Thomas' feautres and added them into the design for young Simba

  • i lovve pocahontas the movie so much it is one f my favorite movies!

    and the mosic in incretable.

the woman that gives the voice to pocahontas kinda looks like pocahontas!

  • that's how disney animates. They're inspired by the voice actors in how they draw. Like how the beast's eyes look similar to Robbie Benson (his voice actor's) eyes and how the Genie and Robin Williams have the same nose.

  • @tinkfashin86 I love Pocahontas too! and the music is amazing and its sooooooooooooooooo heartfelt. and thats what animaters normally do so that the voices fit the characters ^^

  • @tinkfashin86 almost all the disney movies do that... Judy Benson looks very similar to Ariel, Woman who plays sleeping beauty's voice looks similar to aurora, etc...

  • @tinkfashin86 When drawing Pocahontas, they used Irene as the figure to creating her :)

  • @tinkfashin86 She was used as the character model for her :)
