I realy love this version. Michael was going through his Peter North stage and Leo has that waiting for you to notice you've stepped in something look, and the arrangement is amazing.
Nothing "goofy" about a Parlor guitar..... and the pluckiness of it's tone shouldn't be confused for the jangle of Garcia's tone. Hedges was more influenced by dead musicians and composers than by anyone living. But if you wanna know where he got much of his phrasing, check out his friend Pierre Bensusan. They cop'ed each other a lot.
Oh my goodness... I love that version even more than the original one! Without the flute it feels even more consistent and "full". The bridge at 1:00 is a pure orgasm!
Too true.... Again, thanks so much for the music, and the videos, and the power of Mike..... He's simply an ultimate power in the universe..... We will all miss him. Just too cool....... Thanks again man. I know he would love this if he was still here......
Type3, thank you SO much for these clips.... lost visions of an absolute legend........ Too cool..... Did you know him? you must have to have all these great vids.... or maybe you were just the Hedges superfan..... Either way, thank you man.... this is great stuff.......
no, i knew him only as most of us did, through his music; his music spoke so much to me, sometimes i confuse that with knowing him, which i know i shouldn't; but i felt even if one person out of 1000 has my inclination, they should know about him, and for such a talent, he is so "hidden"
Cool! Michael improvising!!!

MH could make magic even with a goofy little guitar! Such an incredibly talented individual he was.

Love that. Very raw. It's funny how when he uses a pick to do a lead, you can easily hear his Garcia influence.
