Another good author is Michael Berenbaum (who is also a rabbi) shares very good insight on the matter. I have also attended a lecture by a Auschwitz survivor. I'm also convinced that Sinchon was real, but not as how it really happened. There are numerous genocides that are forgotten. Encyclopedia of Genocide and Crimes Against Humanity are good volumes on these

@omnikittens Yes actually I have to agree with the stereotypical picture of a Finn who likes to talk about the Second World War and likes his nationalistic heroes... never does he mention that there were relocation camps in Finland and the expansion of Finland was based on pseudoscientific race rhetoric in a book Finnlands Lebensraum by Eino Jutikkala and Väinö Auer... a subject that is avoided when history is taught in schools.

I believe that nationalism, and religion are outdated systems... in the end we are all out of Africa, and share much more in common in genetic terms... it is just that we pass bullshit to our children lacking proper skepticism.

This is a common topic in Jewish studies, and many prominent secularist have written books about the subject. Read Idith Zertel's Israel's Holocaust and the Politics of Nationhood published by Cambride University Press or Tom Segev's Seventh Million (both Jewish scholars). We should forgive but never forget not use the past (Israel and the Palestinians both are guilty of stupidity).
Nobody screaming on the roller-coaster? Sad! A purpose of a themepark, circus, funfare, or carnival is to have fun! But it seems like no one's having fun, much less the state of the equipment of the theme park which looks very rusted and appauling. Look how rusted the support beams of the rollar coaster are! Not to menion how old the Arcade games are! Sad.
