  • Much better than Nintendo's!

  • just because of this video, im subscribing *click* done!

  • this has to be the true translation it just fits the story mode so well

  • @totaldramafan24 it's fairly accurate tbh. Kudos to you HeirOFJezuz, i'm at lvl 4/5 of the latin course myself =)

  • Domine you are domine

  • Latin makes everything epic. Maybe we should try it on bieber......

  • if you speak spanish, french or italian you can understand

  • I translated this before i saw this video and it seems right, just i got "I heard legends of him" instead of "I heard his rumor" along with other small differences.

  • its like a story of heroes who have to join togheter to defeat all the enemies who are bringing chaos to all the worlds...even the dream worlds (mushroom kingdom, dreamland, etc.)

  • @gokuless. No it's his toy snake that, through lucases psychic abilities (pk power) can talk. You would know this if you played Brawl at all.

  • this should be in a theater

  • SCREW ALL OF YOU SCOLDING AT HIS VID man be happy he even did this i cant read i cant see it MAN OPEN UP YOUR FKING EYES!!!!

  • I CANT READ IT ITS TO LITTLE

  • I CANT READ IT

  • O_O 0:51 Lucas is with a moving dick?

  • i know none of you know me and i don't know you but one-on-one no items: whoopage with the red gumball KIRBY and i say red cuz that is my color of choice

  • i know none of you know me and i don't know you but one-on-one no items: whoopage with the red gumball KIRBY

  • well it tells you what it says after you beat the game but you got most of it right

  • this song gives me a headache fer some reason

Well it my headache came back while listening to this..

    its so wierd

  • Awsomness

  • *sniffle* what a beautiful song...

  • When the World is mine!!! this song shall be the anthem of the new world order.

  • HAY! this is the text when you clear the Subspace Emisiary :D But in a song. Awsome xD

  • @ scrattetom

its peach not princess toadstool. They look the same, but if you've played the game you will see they call her peach.

Oh btw, r u sure this is latin? I thought it was italian cuz opra is more popular in Italy. Awsome vid!

  • @frogg045 yes, is latin. a true italian like me can confirm it. we don't speak like this.

the language you hear in classic operas is usually latin. we still study that language even if it died almost one thousand years ago.

  • Just finish the Subspace Emisiary to see the Nintendo translated version

  • the corect translation is in the credits

  • if you want the translation you can just complete subspace and it will have the song with latin words and english

  • audi famam sounds like i'l be the marth

  • Epic

  • Latin=awesome

I'm taking it as a foreign language class and its pretty good so far.

  • ohhh princess toadstool i love her

  • this game is just amazing

  • in brawl the last part of the lyrics were "now we shine ever brighter"

    srry if this offends u

  • This is awesome

  • The translation makes alot more sense than some of the other ones I've seen

  • this song is so fitting to the theme of the game... i am wondering... is this song an old one re-recorded, or perhaps one constructed modernly?

  • this is latin?

  • unfortunataly we must study latin in Italy

  • cucurrit queque means i also have ran...lol

  • isnt latin a dead language?

  • yes. but it's cool

  • @tupac41424 well lets see, Latin broke off into French, Spanish, Italian (i think), people can still learn to speak Latin a number of ways, people still sing in Latin. its not a dead language until it disappears from history all together, because there are still people speaking it. if it is still being used, how can it be dead.

  • @tupac41424 who killed it?

  • @tupac41424 no

  • @tupac41424 Nope

  • @tupac41424 It's still used in the Vatican. But yeah, everywere els it's pretty much dead.

  • The traslation is actually in the game crdits after you beat The Subspace Emissionary.

  • do you think this song is refering too...

well i dont know, maybe enemies have to be allies

    kirby=dedede

    mario=bowser

    kirby+dedede=mario+bowser

so they can stop tabuu and wario and the other guys... somewhere I heard that tabuu wanted nobody to find out that any of the nintendo characters was his friend... but its a myth and wow this is a long comment

  • Wow. You only NOW noticed? I can think of...Nope, cant think of anyone who hasnt noticed that until now.

And the last thing is kinda bull.

Also, thats not such a long comment.

  • Thanks for the translation.

  • I'm italian, I've studied latin at high school and there is not the exact translation but however nice song =)

  • It's been a year now, so I assume it's safe to ask. Didn't Nintendo put a translation at the end of the Subspace Emissary story? Or do the synonyms in our language make up for how Nintendo's and this one's different?

  • yeah they did put a translation at the end it was mostly the same

  • i looked. 100% accuracy on translation 4 all non believers

  • This theme song KICKS ASS!!

  • Can everyone make

    up their mind already

    with the real translation?!

    It's annoying reading all the

    comments fighting!

  • It's true. it's impossible to translate it correctly. I am studing latin and I tried to translate it, and I have to say it is realy well translated.

  • hey thanx so much!

  • good job asshole official translated and its impossible to translate this completly correct

  • Id like 2 see u do better asshole

  • es muy buen

  • sheep.... lol

  • if u guys really wanna know the ending lyrics, just kill tabuu and it'll be translated.

  • Ye, almost all videos of youtube are wrong, why people dont just finish the game and write the lyrics down :(

  • oh so thats what those words were for at the ending

  • O_O moral p10x(talks about u pwning in brawl xD. if ur a girl read about japans history ull find it surprising).

  • 1:17 there's characters from Animal Crossing: Wild World? Are they with in SSBB? Lol :P

  • Can`t someone just post the real translation Nintendo made? You can watch it when you have killed Tabuu.

  • Really? I beat it on Normal difficulty, all I got was credits...

  • i believe u see it after the credits. And it's not the "real" translation Nintendo made. It's just one of the translations.

  • Lol? What "real" translation? You mean the official one, right?

xD You should watch what you write, dude.

  • Uh.. No, I mean the real one.

  • As much as I'd love to disagree with Raegh, he's right. There's no REAL translation; Latin's a dead language, and most languages don't have equivalent words for EVERYTHING. In translation, you just take the closest matching word, whichever one carries most of the connotation the original does. And let's not forget how English has all these synonyms.

  • This video IS called the "OFFICIAL Translation" with official capitalized. Is it too much to ask to see Nintendo's translation?

  • even then I notice small little oopsies in this on :| the illius is genetive, use of or possesive not both o.o in other words correct ones for the beginning part would be either I have heard his rumor or I have heard the rumor of him. I prefer not to go into deep detail like I did in LuigitheSith's movie

  • lol its english... (i know its latin just go with the flow) it begins like this " ill be your mom, he be lou, so if he busts his spleen, then go the spleen must go potty, ill be your mom, he be lou, cause we've been friends, cant you see him sooner, ive only saw her videos, ive only saw her videos, hairy is for teeny noobs, he pwned him, and all the ppl skiing pwned him, Splee HAIR, all of his parfait, bear, he scarred his squashy soy bean, they only need it for this, hey this is hogwarts" so on

  • cool

  • wow sorry, i haven't been on youtube for awhile. I appreciate all the views coming so far. As for those who say I am dumb and that the translation isn't right, read my note on the side. I took Latin up to level 6, so I know for a fact that words in Latin equal like 20 different things. This is what the words mean for the most part, they can vary. If you want to be a hard ass about it, finish SSE and they give you their version.

P.S. Watch my Ownage of the World Vids on my account!

  • isn't it "i heard this tale"?

  • no... "i heard legends of that person"...

  • LMAO, so many idiots on the internet.

You should read the description of a video before watching it. That way you don't have a heart attack from watching the first 10 seconds of the video.

  • You guys actually do know that this is Nobuo Uematsu's, right? The one who wrote all the songs from all Final Fantasy? Who is fond of latin and opera? Go find the lyrics of Liberi Fatali or One Winged Angel (both versions): they're in latin too, and as freaking epic as this one.

  • ya latin is weird i teke it and to me sometimes it doesnt make sense

  • wow...i used the wrong word...

    i meant "their" not "they're"

  • you decide to fix that mistake and not the others like "weather" instead of "whether" and "im" instead of "i'm"?

  • lol yea i messed up huh...i really meant to spell "i'm" like that though.

If you wanna get technical; "i'm" is spelled "I'm"...ya kno...with a capital and all...

  • does weather the translation is right or wrong really matter? i mean, it was done by proffessionals. who ever wrote the song worked for nintendo, so im pretty sure nintendo had to kno wat the translation was...seeing that it's they're song...

  • Actually, Nintendo said that this song is about the ancient minister until he joined the rest of the heroes. Then the song goes on to talk about the game in general.

  • Intresting

  • I have only one complain of this intro ^^; When that lady first sings "Audi famam illius" There´s should´ve been Samus looking at her suit and AFTER that Wario could´ve jump off the cliff.. I guess it would´ve suited better for that scene :D:D:D Well, it´s just my opinion :D Otherwise, this is great!

  • oops! sorry!! I meant that first Wario and then Samus! gee i´m such a moron xD

  • Actually these aren't the real lyrics. If you check the SSE credits in the beginning it shows you the words in english and in latin. But i envy you for at least trying to translate it

  • um yes i know that those lyrics are at the end credits...but it's latin. there is no real translation, there are close ones. this is a very close/similar translation. no need to envy me for "trying"

  • if subspace is one word, why are there two s's?

  • Thanks for putting the lryics up. Great video. I seem to be addicted to this song. haha, its very good.

  • these are real...the words fit perfectly: think of the first 3 lines as mario who saved the mushroom kingdom from bowser. think of the next 3 lines as bowser who torched everything and tried to take over the kingdom. Now when it says "He [is now] next to me, they're reffering to them fightinng in the same game with other heroes and villains. plus they all joined together to fight Tabuu. SO THERE!! they are REAL!

  • Hey Fier419, They fit to Mario, but they fit in Link too :D

  • they fit even more into Link cause Ganon is super bad ass and he probably really did torch eveything in sight!

  • I thought the song is about the Ancient Minister.... I mean first he destroyed stuff but then he joined the "good" team.... and someone probably says "[the ancient minister] is next to me now" referring him joining the team

  • but in the near end of the song it's about the smash bros i think...

    correct me if I'm wrong!

  • oh 4 fuck sake people if you can read and are not retarded listen!...

THESE ARE THE OFFICIAL LYRICS THAY MAY DIFER FROM TIME TO TIME BUT IT'S NOT FAKE THERE OOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCCCIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!!!!... (cough).

  • Did nintendo made this text up or is it from a classical opera? Please tell me !

  • i am not sure. i would think that nintendo made it and then had opera singers..well sing it

  • Wow, that's very interesting. I didn't know it was sung in the eternal language. Thanks for uploading it.

  • yup translation is pretty spot on, i have taken latin, nice vid :)

  • If this is fake then how come there are 2 other videos with nearly the exact same lyrics as this one?( In one of the videos they say I have heard his tale instead of i have heard his rumor.) These are the real lyrics. The words fit the song i guess but its hard to sing to the song.

  • im gonna go with someguyz12, seeing as his makes the most sense, is agreeable, and hes not some dee dee dee retard who finds satisfaction with saying "der this is not real translation!" with his hand held sideways to his chest. If you dont agree, at least explain yourself and spare us the dribble you morons "FAIL not the real lyrics" leave for good posters like ourselves.

  • lets not start to argue :D

  • The real translation is at the end of the game.... no need for these false translations.

  • well it is hard to translate since latin is realtivly a dead language

  • The translation at the end of the game is actually an incorrect translation. It's fine for idiomatic English, but it isn't literal. In fact, it is far from literal. And Latin isn't hard to translate because it's dead, it just leaves too much room for different schools of thought. This translation is incorrect as well, but it works for colloquial English.

  • This song is epic!!!

  • continued from below: and as they fought and competed, their spendor grew (they teamed up, like at the end of the SSE, and became freinds) then they started fighting for the fun of it, and the winner would bring back the losers.

  • nice threoy

  • ah, latin, the foundation of most lauguages.

in my opinion, based on the lyrics, the song talkes about a hero and a villian, you could go several ways with this (mario and bowser, link and ganondorf, kirby and d3) and thier achevements, in good and evil (being saving their homeland, and causing destruction respectively) and how they are now allies with the storytellers,

  • I love this song!

It's the best main theme out of all the Super Smash Bros. games!

  • Latin is the most beautiful language in my opinion.

  • Kenyan is the most beautiful language in my opinion.

  • Never heard Kenyan before.

  • Latin is the most beautiful language in my opinion.

  • this song make me feel all tingly inside

  • I got view 4000 :D

  • ahah grats. i saw it last night at 3,999 and was waiting for it to hit that 1.

  • omg latin is so cool i wanna take it 2 hope my school has it

  • I actually take a Latrin I course as my 2nd period and it suprised me that when i covered up the translation I could actually understand it..... I felt so accomplished! :]

  • freaking epic!

  • Dam the lyrics and vid are so f*ing epic

  • EVeryone that says this is fake is retarded.

I beat the subspace emissary. At the end, it sings this song with the translated version in subtitles.

  • um excuse me? who says it is fake? there is no fake! Latin has multiple meanings and translations. Their ending is one of the translations.

  • I don't believe this is fake...

  • ya, srsly. if u look at all the other translations on youtube it's the exact same thing

  • Finally someone has this in english, but I just don't understand how that connects with Brawl's story line in the Subspace Emisarry...

  • beacuse it talks about a hero... like the characters just were in subspace after you beat it by saving the world. umm... am i right here?

  • Yeah that soundds right.

The heroes and villains all banded together (sonic, mario, dedede, link, ganondorf, bowser and even master hand helped a bit)

    to defeat the true evil.

  • Yeah that soundds right.

The heroes and villains all banded together (sonic, mario, dedede, link, ganondorf, bowser and even master hand helped a bit)

    to defeat the true evil.

  • yea its slightly diffrent from english translation, but still roughly the same

  • You don't get it, do you? This IS an english translation, not a variation of another perfect one. Latin does not translate into english perfectly; no language does.

  • thank you. not many people understand that

  • thank you jeez.

  • Dude if you don't think it's the official english beat brawl yourself

  • i thought that was just random words... i had no idea what it ment lol

  • Thanks for the upload. I didn't want to have to fight tabuu again in order to rewatch this. I don't get why this wasn't with the other SSE movies.

  • i know, i thought the same thing jv2k

  • actually way to close to call if it is wrong latin ain't english some word have the same basic meaning...

  • it was good, but nintendo already had it translated ad in the beggining its i have heard the legends. u were really close though (not sure about the rest, i only memerized the first 1-3 versus)

  • Go take latin class.

  • I`m not the one who translated it, I`m going by the OFFICIAL translation.

    keyword: OFFICIAL

  • Hmm, would be nice if you changed the color on the text, even if you did a closed captioning ((Black box with white text )) But I still think I'll fav it.

  • Isn't random, just what it literally means lol

  • Pretty random translation, but pretty sweet.

  • Sorry that some parts were a little hard to read due to the brightenss of the picture.
