@jakobluke Not really, but Shockwave was used to make the commercials because it was the same design as the Great American Scream Machine. It is not uncommon for theme parks to use the rides from other parks to promote rides for their parks (for example: Cedar Point uses rides from Knotts Berry Farm to promote the park).
