I can't judge people who had abortions, I can't place myself in their shoes. Personally I would not get an abortion regardless of the circumstances. I'm engaged just starting out my career. We are not ready for a baby so I just simply don't have sex. I'm an atheist so my choices don't reflect my ideas and actions. Abortions = murder. Justified or not its still homicide.
I dont have a problem with people having abortions. It's their choice, none of my business etc I wouldn't personally have one, but i'm in a stable relationship..
But an old friend of mine never used any contraception, and she ended up pregnant quite a few times. She had an abortion every time, i've actually lost count of how many she's had. She's messed up her body. She's engaged now and they're trying for a baby, but she keeps miscarrying due to the amount of abortions she's had

I feel sorry for anyone who felt it was their only option. There is stigma to any choice - birth mom, single mom or young mom, and someone who had an abortion. Women get beaten up for whatever decision they make and it's sad.

The UK, it's mostly that they have a mentality that women without children couldn't possible know their minds or cope with consequences if they should change their mind. I do feel that whether or not you choose to continue the pregnancy you still deal with the consequences of the situation. I don't think having an abortion is taken lightly or as a way to bypass responsibility (for most people), because you have to be able to live with the choice you made. Unbiased support is a must though.

I think more than half of all woman do regret abortions. Mostly on the U.S or Canada.. In Russia most girls get abortions in full term, that is worse! and then don't seem to really care, its normal. Most countries think its normal and its pretty sad.. Me? well, I am pro-choice. I believe in educating people so then will never have to get to this point.. I am also religious and I will never bash a girl for doing this, god forgives so who am I to say anything?
@MD103194 I forgot what it was called. But they give you something to drink, like a poison for the child. Couple hrs later you go into labor and give birth to a still baby.. its so sad. Thats how Russia deals with some abortions, but the are more stubborn over there, they have access to all kinds of birth control but people are ignorant and the men wont sleep with a woman if she wants to use some type of birth control.

To me a fetus.baby.or child is the most precious thing in the world anybody can create. a part of you is in that fetus. Its just sad that there are people out there that are too selfish , they could have been a good mother to that baby and their baby could have been somebody in life..
That's your opinion, I personally don't think babies and children are the be all and end all in life. I have no intention of being a mother, so I don't think personal opinions and values should be used to judge the choices of another. I'm not sad or selfish, and I would abort. I work in healthcare, and I feel much better about improving the lives that are already being lived than being new ones into uncertainty.

BTW I knew a 16 yr. old who had a 2 year old son. She had been in state custody since she was pregnant by her abusive father's meth lab partner at 14. Her mother had abandoned her and her brother long ago, and with her dad in jail on multiple counts she had no where to go. We ended up in the same group home, a maternity home. She was one of the best mothers in there, taking better care of herself and her son than girls older than her and from less oppressive backrounds.

I was offered a free trip there and, was alarmed right away by the type of language the person offering it to me used when she was describing it. So I turned it down. Personally I did't feel any rituals or religious ceremonies could set me free of my 14 years of denying what the actual consequences of my "choice" were.
Have you had the pleasure of telling your living child that you purposely took the life of his or her sibling? You obviously want a better life for your child(ren) than you had, so will you warn them of the dangerous of putting themselves at risk for facing abortion? The UK, it's mostly that they have a mentality that women without children couldn't possible know their minds or cope with consequences if they should change their mind. I do feel that whether or not you choose to continue the pregnancy you still deal with the consequences of the situation. I don't think having an abortion is taken lightly or as a way to bypass responsibility (for most people), because you have to be able to live with the choice you made. Unbiased support is a must though.

I think more than half of all woman do regret abortions. Mostly on the U.S or Canada.. In Russia most girls get abortions in full term, that is worse! and then don't seem to really care, its normal. BTW I knew a 16 yr. old who had a 2 year old son. She had been in state custody since she was pregnant by her abusive father's meth lab partner at 14. Her mother had abandoned her and her brother long ago, and with her dad in jail on multiple counts she had no where to go. We ended up in the same group home, a maternity home. She was one of the best mothers in there, taking better care of herself and her son than girls older than her and from less oppressive backrounds.

As far as your friend who went to Rachel's Vinyard, I'm sorry about her experience there. I was offered a free trip there and, was alarmed right away by the type of language the person offering it to me used when she was describing it. So I turned it down.
